T-129 - Pakistan signs biggest ever defence exports deal of Turkish history

How can they block something Pakistan had paid for? Totally shameless.
the only persons who are shameless are those Pakistanis that went for this deal to begin with and yeah i am talking about the damn military knowing well how US uses this to blackmail and arm twist Pakistan but we never learn.

Yankees have no respect for Pakistan at all.

I have 2 sources (1 form Textron and 1 from US government) that told me the first 3 chopper had indeed been deliver to Pakistan and is at the hand of the Pakistani since the beginning of this year. At the moment PAA is building hanger and maintenance centre to house and service these helicopter.

unless the ship that deliver these chopper had sunk, I am pretty sure they are already in Pakistani hand. PAA is hiding these chopper by the order of US government, as to why? No one knows, most likely it's OPSEC thing.

Your an authentic source dude as a pro, so I'm sure it is the case. Other sources said delivery should have happened.

No matter delivered or not, they use it as a tool to manipulate.

This is highly disgusting.

problem here is we dont have brain like indians we lack the business minded people in the armed forces who are going to work for a better deal we missed a big in manufacturer choosing the attack helicopter.
Turkish t 129 and the Chinese wz10 should have not be the only two helicopters tested the south African Denel Rooivalk should have been tested too .the armed forces had multiple reasons for that
1 Denel Rooivalk use the same engine like the puma helicopters which we aleardy know a lot about .
2 we could have worked with south africa and airbus to get the tot for not just one helicopter but 2. our puma helicopters already need replacing so the the airbus h215 and h225 would have been perfect.
3 rd we could have made it a bigger deal working with south Africa by including things like MRAPS TOT and G6 howitzers (if they fit our requirement)
4th we could have got a new defense partner like south Africa in our pocket and could have asked for discount too for the bigger deal
5 th with h215 and h225 we could have fulfilled our navy requirements too in long term
6 th instead of buying Russian mi35 could have used puma with similar configuration like the Romanians are using
7 th instead of buying those american ah-1z Denel Rooivalk would have been perfect

this could have been made to our mother of all the deals
Rooviak has long sincs died. It would require a lot of reviving which is expensive.
What you are suggestinv with SA is happenning with Turkey. So all in all good to see. SA arms industry had a lot of indian influence which is why PA shied away from it. Now that it is gone we are mking ovdrtires agin but finance remains a problem for js.

Hehe, thanks for the thumbs up, more on the information regarding the AH-1Z

My sources told me the 3 aircrafts is indeed in Pakistan hand and currently under Climatization (Which can only be done in Pakistan as you guys are the first international customer) and OPEVAL for PAA in an undisclosed location, PAA should be putting those chopper at light this September when all these test are finished and the remaining 9 have been delivered.

At this time, they are stored in an undisclosed location until a permanent structure (which is currently building) is completed, and what I know is, that structure you guys are building is dedicated to serve the AH-1Z, which indicate PAA "May" buy more AH-1Z in the future. Otherwise it kind of odd to have build a facility just to serve 12 choppers....

This is all I know about the AH-1Z

No Problem, was called away for something and I have no time to put out a post (literally I was called away with 1 day notice)

At the moment I am a bit chill from this and I will go back to Modern Warfare post soon in the future.

Thanks for your support.

As I had mentioned earlier in this forum, the Cobra AH-1Z deliveries are stalled since November 2017 because GHQ does not have the remaining funds to pay for them under FMS. US had asked the GHQ to pay for them through Pakistan own funds but GHQ declined due to lack of it thereof.

AT129 is a good choice BUT US$1.5B is a lot of money and I'm not quite sure how will Pakistan cough up the funds when the FE position in the country is quite precarious especially owing to US$. My gut feeling is that the announcement has been made in haste by the PMLN Government in order to appease the Army prior elections. Lets see.

Tender submission date was 15-3-2018, which is pretty recent. Facilities likely still under construction.

The Turks are providing a line-of-credit for the T129 and MILGEM.

My guess is that the actual production of both is staged 2-3 years from now - i.e. will only start when we complete the first required installments. As the Turkish industry is busy with fulfilling domestic orders, they're in no rush to get to Pakistan.

If Fms was based on. Coalition support funds plus fmf then no chance as either Pak has to pay from its pocket or they will not be delivered I think

Fmf ?? Is the source then it’s not being delivered

If they are FMS, Pakistan should have already paid in full in advance as no loan was involve, otherwise US will not order Textron to make these helicopter for Pakistan

There are literally no chance US stopped deliver due to insufficient fund.

Its like when Russia buy the Mistral from France, France required full payment before production started and when France not releaseing the ship to Russia, they need to refund the Russian

Pakistan is not getting these chopper for free in some sort of aid package
