Mortar fire claim was another lie, because there are no rebels closer than 40 km to hat base. According to Russian reporter Saponkov 5 planes were destroyed. 2 were killed. Thats major fail and humiliation for heavily defended airbase.

None of those claims can be proven. Russia denied the claim. At the end Russia destroyed 13 drones and provided proof while Israel couldn’t shoot down a single Russian drone or even an ancient s-200 that entered its airspace.


As for “rebels” not being closer then 40km. Really you think they can’t disguise themselves and get closer to the base. Thousands of US, British and Saudi soldiers have been killed because “rebels” infiltrated areas.

Remember that American airbase in Afghanistan that was attacked? Remember how many aircraft were destroyed?

Israel intercepted many drones, including Iranian super duper stealth.

Russia estimated 2000 killed, it was not accurate but it also wasn’t some rediculous number either and considering Georgian bombarded civilians with grad rockets and injured hundred it was not misleading either. Many of the injured survived.

I would take that over shooting innocent civilians across a fence.

I saw those videos of interception too, it is possible they intercepted a small number, but it is quite clear that Syrian SAM got completely overwhelmed. No way in hell they ever intercepted 71 ( even 13 is not very believable).

We can only guess, but I think Syrian air defences aren't hit to kill; they explode on impact. The text is still readable too, I would think that only a smoldering heap of a little metal would be left of a cruise missile succesfully impacting.

For example, Damascus airport is reportedly in ruins [insider info.] but they are mum over this. They are trying to conceal facts from the public because their over-inflated ego will be hurt.

No airport was targeted by the strikes, so if it somehow completely on fire, then something else happened.

Point is about honesty which you cannot expect from Syrians (and Russians); they are concealing lot of damage on the ground per insider voices/sources.
