BORDER FENCING IS MUST TO STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Does BD Posters knows who is spending all money for Border Fences ??? It cost 2 Billion $ for India. Also, India gave 7,000 Acres of land after swapping, Business , Illegal immigrants. Still they have habit for saying wrong things.

I understand the reasons for building border fences in the Indo-Bangla border. Ironically, there isn't any in India's border with Nepal and Bhutan

There are issues of human trafficking in the border in which even BDR were involved. Once read a report compiled by a Dhaka University professor.

Whatever the stupid Bangladesh government is doing, I hope they don't screw up

It was just to point out just how meagre 150 acres of land is.

Few months ago there was a similar incident in Assam or tripura where Indian villagers protested against this land swap deal, now if I follow your logic doesn't that make your nation full of illiterates? They have a right to protest and they are practicing it, nothing unusual.

Villagers protest because they don't have the knowledge of the over all situation. Whats the excuse for the Bangladeshi netizens going apesh*t over something like this. It seems like you guys love being misinformed. How many Indians did you see creating a ruckus about India loosing land in the land deal, on the internet or on this forum for this matter. Indians are happy if anything. Instead of logically explaining it to the illiterate villagers, your politicians are busy spreading the misinformation for some petty political point scoring.

No if we go by your percentage, that means Bangladesh is loosing 0.02% of land and gaining 0.05% of land. On the other hand India is loosing 0.001% of its land and gaining 0.0005% of land. Fail logic... fanning propaganda 24X7.

Its not about feeling great about oneself, its about being reasonable. Border fence is going to be finished to save the life of innocent Bangladeshis at the border

Thats because people from Nepal and Bhutan dont emigrate and settle just on the other side of the border to cause demographic changes . Also these measures will save the lives of many "innocent" Bangladeshis who try to cross the border illegally even after the BSF repeatedly warns them ...and ultimately has to fire if they disregard the warnings.

Ironically loads of Bangladeshis were expressing their anger and dismay at BSF killings and asking why more humane methods of illegal immigrant prevention are not tried out.

These endeavours of the GOI should be welcomed ....

Shoe shine, moon shine its all the same as long as you dance the rain dance. Either you see this side of the coin or the other side. No ones making a fuss out of this steam, if it wasn't even for PDF or munshi I guess I wouldn't even had known it in the first place. Nor did I hear it from anyone else whatsoever recently.

My point is they have a right to protest and they are practicing it, it doesn't matter how much you lose or gain. Same will happen on your side of the border theres no-point

If there is specific land swap for padua then you wont get extra 10000 acres,will you?
The land swap deal is for removing enclaves, probably BD has more enclaves hence net gainer of land.
Now you seem to claim so much inside knowledge, why dont you investigate and enlighten us as to what is going on there.

And yes, expect similar opposition from Indian side, because people are attached to their land.

Show me some official document or news report about this specific land swap.

The reason is that Nepalis can take up employment in India and thereafter even settle down as many do. Trust, I presume.

And Indian also go across including some for business and there are no issues.

Inter country marriages are common.

Bhutan has a defence agreement with India.

Bhutanese are very complacent people and require no employment in India or otherwise.

So, no fence.
