I agree 110%,only when Pakistani auto companies are going to get a competition, that too from their superior counterparts, will work on R&D and not only that but also on quality of their products. But guess what, they don't wanna work yet want to mint money from us.Thats what you assume...... If India thought the same We would not have been in the place we are today...... We would be still driving the chetaks and cd 100's and xl 50's...... Indian companies have been given tough competition by japanese (yamaha, suzhuki, and Honda) yet they survive and the competition made the indian companies change their strategy and work on their R& D and quality...... Today they stand tall with their japanese counterparts.... Indian consumers have benefited a lot by getting better quality, after sales service and features........
If you want your local companies to perform well and provide better products, then put them in to tough competition......
Does it runs on 4 tyres or 2 tyres?
ohhh another mehran like overpriced crap is coming!!22th FEB 2016,
ISLAMABAD: One of the favourite auto brands in Pakistan, Suzuki made clear its long-rumered plans for Suzuki Mehran and Suzuki Cultus replacement in the country, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to the reports published in parts of Pakistani media and information circulating in the auto industry, Suzuki decided to replace Cultus with the new Celerio in current year (2016), while Suzuki Alto 7TH Generation will replace the ever green Suzuki Mehran, one of the favourite low budget cars in Pakistan.
Industry gurus said the new Celerio 2016 will feature a 3 cylinder engine, K10B from the K- Next series. The car does not have a clutch pedal providing ease in shifting gears. It is speculated that Celerio will be a huge success and sales will reach soaring heights.
In terms of design and some interior, the Celerio is too similar to Suzuki Swift, 1300CC engine vehicle, termed darling of youngsters.
Information show, Suzuki Celerio will provide a sense of innovation and develop the perception of the corporate brand of Suzuki in target market.
On the other hand, The Suzuki Alto is powered by a 660cc inline 3 cylinder DOHC engine paired up with available options of CVT transmission, automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual transmission.
The output for the engine is rated at 53bhp. The fuel consumption is slated at 24.5 km/L as claimed.
The Alto is available in both FWD (Front Wheel Drive) and 4WD (4 Wheel Drive) options. It delivers good fuel efficiency along with low emissions without compromising performance.
The electric power steering also minimizes power loss by the engine. ABS brakes come standard in the Alto with Air Bags also present as safety features.
It is worth mentioning here that with growing and positive indicators in technology, Pakistan is considered Tech-hotspot in the Asia.
