Thing is BD is without a political/military strength to take over north Arakan. The military buildup in BD may be defensive in nature. Only the Rohingyas can do it. But, they are not organized and are not brave enough. Moreover, it is almost impossible for a small population of one or two million to wage a guerrilla war unless the terrain has vast areas of mountains and jungle.

The place Rohingya lives is far away from Chinese pipelines. You should worry more about Indian presence in MM than Rohingyas. Indians will make sure that Your presence in Rakhine is no more than a commercial venture. Thats why they put a counter project called Kaladan port.

I always in favor of supporting Rakhine community and build up Arakan Army. In the long run it will return more result than investing on Rohingya Mojaheed. We had great success with ULFA.

they want to cover up their military strikes in Yemen and Syria which killed thousand of people and made many refuge to neighboring countries. That's much worse than what is happening in Myanmar. US will get at least 2 advantage from highlighting rakhine case in their media. such as 1) it will downplay what they are doing in Syria and Yemen and 2) it will also please their largest weapon buyers for what they did and 3) to disrupt China projects in Rakhine. many birds in one shot. if there was no rohingya problem , China projects can move forward with ease. now both China and Myanmar have to rethink about the project due to the region is unstable.
