At at time when some parties are extremely pricklish about Indo-Pak ties of any sort, the Union Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swara went out of her way to help a Pakistani child.

On Wednesday, Sushma Swaraj tweeted: “We have issued Visa for Basma's surgery in India. I wish her a speedy recovery.” ( Read: Shiv Sena wants to ban Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan)

The tweet was in reference to five-year-old Basma Mohammad Faisal who needed to undergo an endoscopy test immediately. Faisal needs a liver transplantation as soon as possible, a facility which wasn’t available in Oman or even their native Pakistan. He had told the Times of Oman: “I lost my elder daughter to the same disease about 11 years back. I don’t want to lose her and plan to get both the operations done at Global Hospital in Chennai in India.”

This isn't the first time Sushma Swaraj has helped those in need. Earlier, she had helped anIndian national who was stranded in Germany after losing her passport. She also helped rescue 168 Indians held hostage in Iraq.

Blasphemy for Pakistanis to get help from kuffur Indians.
I don't know why Pakistan can't guarantee their civilians about a medical treatment.
