This is definitely true for india, but is complete B.S. for China. Take auto sales for example, China produced 29 million automobiles last year, and sold 28 million in domestic market, among them, half is from Chinese brands. If talk about mobile phones, laptops, etc, then look at our Huawei, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Lenovo, etc... You will be really embarrassed: according to your BS: "Even Chinese don't buy Chinese products", but indians buy them.. Soooooo Sad! Huh?Sad when Chinese don't even buy Chinese products
the biggest car brands in China are Nissan , Volkswagen , big Chinese names like buick ,whg are just proxies of general motersThis is definitely true for india, but is complete B.S. for China. Above are just about cars, which we have a late start... And there are other sectors, say, electronics...
And do compare to your data, i.e. how many and percentage of TATA, Mahindra are sold in india...
Then tell me: Who should feel sad? China or india?
No, If you are not blind, you will see Chinese brands sold over 10 million cars in China, then, your "Chinese don't buy Chinese product" are complete bullshit! I am not sure about "thriving foreign brands in China", because it is not our fault to be able to afford so many BMWs, Benzs, Audis, and Porsche etc... unlike poor indians. And I do see "thriving Chinese brands in india", which is definitely ture. Haha..Lol derailing thread out of shame , what what can i expect from you. Why are you comparing India when you are talking about thriving foreign brands in China

you cite figures of the past. this year the growth in VN export to CN (93%) is higher than CN export to VN (50%), so the gap will be very narrow this year, if not flat. or not turning to surplus for VN. much more potential for trades if having better infrastructures. trades between VN and CN last year reached $121.3 billion. Please read the article before bragging. Vietnam trade surplus was for the month of February, not the fiscal year. http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1092789.shtml
Vietnam remained in trade deficit with China,
$25.5 billion for 2016
$20.4 billion for 2017
http://customsnews.vn/imports-incre...eficit-with-china-sharply-decreased-5349.html
"According to the latest information from the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC), until the end of October 2017, the total export turnover of Vietnam to China reached US$ 26.46 billion, an increase of 53% compared to the same period in 2016 (equivalent to an increase of US$ 9.14 billion). Meanwhile, import turnover was US$ 46.831 billion, an increase of 16.1%.
Thus, until the end of October, Vietnam’s trade deficit from China was nearly US$ 20.4 billion. This was huge gap but the trade deficit compared to 2016 sharply decreased. Specifically, in the same period in 2016, trade deficit was US$ 29.51 billion."

Look, we want to start the construction of a $50b HSR by 2020. That is about 1/4 of GDP. You see there is little correlation between GDP and investment or GDP and trade volumes. You are free to post trade volumes or other economic news from Indonesia.$200 billions economy who act like $2 trillions economy, that's Vietnamese on this forum.
You should know Made in China and Chinese brand products are different, Most of products in China are made-in-China, including weapon.Sad when Chinese don't even buy Chinese products
