Government will never allow CBI to be independent,congress or BJP.it will be they who will be at the reviving end.
Congress lokpal is pro-corruption and it will even prevent people to register case against them.
Suppose i am government official and done corruption then government will financially help me to fight my case and the
investigating process will take 2-3 year and in that period you can't do any thing against me but i can case against the people who register curruption case against me.Dude this is dangerous lokpal.Gov Lokpal is pro-corruption not anti-corruption.

I accept middle class people generally don't vote and its a big big mistake but that does't mean we are not citizen of India and

You are grossly mis-informed. top reason for growth diminishing is the paralysis in policy making and not lokpal. I m from Bangalore and I know a bit abt lokayukta too. Lokpal is a deterrent and not a means to the end. If judiciary is also problem we should deal with it but atleast start somewhere.

Thanks for agreeing to my points you have proved that lokpal is worthless as judiciary is turtle pace.

But people are ranting about lokpal because they are frustrated and one jinni called anna hazare says that it will solve every problem in one go so people are making a beeline to worship him.

team anna is to arrogant . and seem to feel they are the only one with any moral responsibility . while i agree with the fact that corruption should end , to believe that lokpal and especial the Jan lokpal will eliminate it is a naive and flawed notion.

i still have faith in the parliamentary democracy rather than this street one . at least i can vote out the politician i do not like (he is accountable in that way ) in which way is the lokpal anna wants accountable.

"Shri" Anna Hazare (who is bigger than the Parliament)is a self obsessed person .He is preoccupied with the thought that everything should happen according to his will.

For me the best part in the debat when Lokpal was introduced was Gurudas dasgupta's "Better late than never. No government had sought to enact such a Bill. Country has been waiting for this legislation for such a long time. But let us not do it under duress. Let us not surrender the supremacy of Parliament. Leader of the House is referring to an impending phase of agitation. Is it fair? We are not fighting corruption on our own. We are doing it because someone else is threatening. I appeal to Congress and government - under no circumstances, sovereignty of Parliament is to be surrendered Having said so, there are concerns. Bill is being sought to be introduced in unusual haste. This is parliamentary mismanagement. And government is acting in panic. We are not operating in fear of anybody- least of all, an ex-policeman, an ex-bureaucrat, least of all a man who pretends to be another father of the nation. There is only one father of the nation: Mahatma Gandhi. There is no single crusader against corruption. Please don't be afraid of another hunger strike"

Most important question is who is paying all the bills for this agitation?
People don't understand that when its difficult for a good earning middle class person to save these days how come anyone can donate for this agitation. That means someone wealthy is behind the scenes playing the role of Producer and Director

I won't be surprised if the team Anna form a party and contest the next elections.
This is just one good PR move before entering politics to ensure that atleast a few seats would be won.
And I certainly don't believe in someone claiming to be the "Second Father of the Nation".

Team Anna's Lokpal bill is morally and constitutionally flawed. Also, I would like to see a good and lengthy debate in parliament before the final Bill is passed. Not something just a handful of people want who's only source of income comes from holding agitations.

How lame is Anna hazare and his knowledge can be judged by the fact he says "gram sabha" is supreme but parliament is not

One needs to ask that fool what about cities as "gram Sabha" are for villages only.

And how can you call a tiny body like "gram sabha" supreme over the parliament. And we all know how some village in haryana/up approves honor killings even gram sabha/panchayats approves honor killingin the meetings is it OK???????

The thing is that civil society have all the right to campaign, complaint and protest but its the parliament that is supreme. Civil society should raise demand and leave it to the parliament to decide.

GOOD view,Anna isnt a gandhian in any way,I agree he wants things to happen according to his will.Just because you have of freedom of speech doesnt mean you keep on holding a govt to ransom.For the BJP fanboys go read Anna's history he was jailed in 1998 and your party was nowhere to be seen supporting him,congress folks were supporting him and dont forget he was awarded padma bhushan in 1992 when Congress was in power,BJP is only doing its job of an opposition party they are no saints either.

Most of us know jack about how govt. makes decisions,implements policy just because you read civics in high school doesnt mean one becomes a master on govt matters.I laugh on those 1 lakh odd supporters that pro-anna members here mention I can bet 9/10 wont be able to write a 150 word essay on Lokpal,Jan Lokpal Bill.

Somewhere i remember readying that his NGO got around 20 crores in donations.

Then when i searched for this news again, didn't get it.

This Movement Doesn't Revolve Around Anna Hazare Anymore if you leave all the Electronic Media Glare Aside, It would have been viable for Govt to Ignore this Movement if this would have been Only small section of Society Protesting but that's not the thing anymore My friend Its the Majority of People that came on Street's On August and thus why the govt is giving so Much Attention to the Movement !!

Ok I Agree that Parliament has right to decide what Kind of Legislature should be Passed But what if the Bill Passed is against the Wish of Major section of Society ? Don't They have right to Protest so that It can be Amended according to their Wish , Ain't that Democracy ! You Elect a Representative for Five years and Then the Representative Never looks back at the voters to take their Views and Go against their Wishes ! is this Democracy ?

When Delhi Police was Ordered by govt to Lathi charge On Men and Women who were Protesting against corruption during Ramdev's fast !! was that Democracy ! do you know a Women Died in that Lathi charge !!

The people have Full right to agitate till the Bill of their Choice is Passed and Not what Majority of MP's want !

Rather than Calling Anna a ' Fool ' Look at Yourself !! I doubt you have even Done 0.1 % of service to Nation of what he has done !
