It's time we started behaving like a civilized nation.Whatever may be the charges,slapping a representative(you might not like him but he got democratically voted into power right?) and that too an elderly fellow is despicable to state the least.And what did it achieve?Nothing,other than some well deserved jail time for the Sardar to cool his heels.

If you want put some random dude who slapped a politician on a pedestal,be my guest but if you are seeking real change,go pledge support to the Anna Hazare campaign.

^^^ Well You don't know what is hunger means. He is food minister, it directly effects all poor people. Their entire income is not enough to feed. If don't step down or don't take any action what you do? Just wait for 5yrs. Even if he defeated, he will be elected rajya shaba and became a minister.

As I said, people who have not faced hunger, will not know what is this minister done to this country. For you it may just another 100$ more. You need to live in India as a daily wage earner.

Result, definitely you will see. If he does immediately we will say minister had not done anything. After getting slap only he did.
If he has any shame, he should have been resigned already.

And it clearly Shows Signs of Frustration In Youths in India with Growing Corruption and Price hikes !Sharad Pawar Being one of Corrupt Leader Deserved it But Being Chief of NCP , he Has Strong Clout in Politics in Maharashtra and India , Signs of Which were 'Bandh' and Protest's across Many Regions In Maharashtra.

Although I Never Support such Violence and There can be Nothing Achieved from This ! What was Effect of That Slap , Will Pawar Resign from His Post ? Will Food Prices fall ?

No - Nothing can be Achieved from Such Violence and This Isn't Democracy !

There are Likes of some Groups Like 'Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena' [ Same People Who Attacked Prashant Bhushan , I Know some of them Over Social Net ] with their Leader Tejinder Bagga , who have Choosen the Path of Such Violence and are Planning to many Such attacks On Politicians During Ongoing Parliament Session !

But this will Lead to Nowhere !!

In the End after this Slap Drama ! Once again Common Man was Affected with 'Bandhs' and Vandalising of Shops and Public Infrastructure who Refused for Bandh !

If that slap can open the well oiled ears of our politicians than I'll support it... but I know that it will not... and those who cry about democracy... what is democracy... we the people of India are crying INFLATION, CORRUPTION, SCAMS, BLACK MONEY... who is listening to us... no body...

our parliamentarians have time to discuss and condemn the slap... but they do cat fight on other issues... they halt the working of parliament... they waste our money...

Where are those supporters of democracy... who keep mum on entering of mafia in Indian parliament... all these flag handlers of democracy (political parties) provide tickets to goons... where do they put the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi at that time...

I have already made my stand on this issue pretty clear with my previous posts.I do not wish to dwell on them any further because I do not want to waste time articulating the same things once again.Feel free to go ahead and slap the appointed MP/MLA from your district and see whether that gets things moving in your region.Rang De indeed!!!

Democracy is Power to the People, What I want to say here is This Polticians are Voted by Majority and Thus they are in Centre.The Power is in Hands of People.If Majority of People are So fed Up By Corruption then why do they Vote for Such people at First Instant ?.I Am Sure there are Atleast one Candidate in Every Legislative Region Who is Not from any Political Party and Is Less Corrupt (Many Say Every Candidate are Corrupt) , Why not Vote Them ? Problem As such dont Get Majority Support.

Its Democracy that Gives Us right to Choose our Own Leaders and we are Free to do so

If People are So Fed up of this UPA Govt , Then Dont Vote for Them in Next Elections and Support those Who can Rule the Nation Better ! Its as Simple as That

In India, we have seen that around 60% voters votes (including fake voters)... rarely any candidate gets 30% votes... still they are termed as public representatives... we need to work on election reforms as we are already 60 years late on them...

Those sweet words like join politics, be in system and cleanse it, change the system are easy to say but hard to do... if these things are easy than we will have 120 crore ANNA HAZAREs...

This guy Harvender Singh could be wrong or right (depending upon the views of person) but he did something... that's why he is far better than those internet warriors who could easily write the speeches for our politicians... speeches SHOWING a dreamland to live in...
