NATO is defensive? Why it bombed Serbia, Iraq and Libya? Did they invade any NATO member? When US deploys weapons and radars in your country, does it matter NATO is defensive or what? There are no way any country in a war footing can produce advance fighter like that in that number, hell, you can't even build that many P-51 during WW2 in the US. The major issue is that most Defence Procurement these day does not just come from within one country, Where are you going to get Aluminum for the Aircraft fuselage if you want to build a thousand of them a year? China don't produce nearly enough Aluminium, which mean you are going to depends on some country to supply you with that amount of Material to build them. You can't build everything with cast iron these day, Then you have all the IC chips, high tensile steel, carbon composite, optics fibre? Are you able to get enough of them in a year to build 1000 of those?

You are quite navie to think F-35 only have 1000kms combat range. First of all, even with Wikipedia, the Combat RADIUS is 1200Km, which mean the combat range is 2400km with range over 2800km with internal fuel, but then I don't think that was a true number as this is most likely be larger and most likely a secret. Second, they can put drop tank on it and extend range, they don't need to ditch those until they reach the limit of your radar detection range. Which mean their range is going to be even longer, then couple with Mid-Air Refuelling, essentially US can launch a sortie from Guam and it can reach most of China with 1 refuel midair.

About the missile, didn't the Russian War in Ukraine show you Missile are useless at base? How many Russian Missile were lobbed against Ukrainian Airfield now? 1000? 2000? Conventional number suggest Russia have used 600 missile by day 14 (March 11) 1600 missile by day 34 (March 31) somewhere between 2000-2500 by day 60 (April 24) Between 3000-3500 by May 1, Somewhere below 4000 by now.
