Just to apprise you a bit about what you just mentioned. There were far more terrorist activities in Punjab that is believed to have much better gun control compared to KPK (NWFP). Likewise, no gun control law covers blowing oneself up with an RDX jacket nor will they ever bother complying unless the ideology that makes them do so is questioned openly and boldly.
I am sure you have a better idea of what goes on in your country.

Stop the illegal manufacturing of Kalashnikovs in the markets of Peshawar.
Crack-down on "Non-state actors" affecting both of our countries.
There are steps one can take if one is willing enough.
