Suicide bombing kills 40 cops in Kabul

I don't blame the enemy for acting like an enemy.
It's the Afghans that deserve this treament for tag teaming with India.
Only Allah knows when they'll realize that India and US has nothing to loose in them dragging the Afghans into confrontation with Talis and Pakistan.
Shame on u.

Why dont u sign a peace treaty with ttp? Afghans have the right to chose what they want for themselves, and not be forced to accept a dictat by you that they should live a life of oppression under the taliban. Why dont u accept the rule of ttp? Why did u fight them? The US and the world were begging u to act against ttp but u did it only after the peshawar attack.

Terrible loss of innocent life.

Was not expecting this kind of response on pdf.

The problem is that Afghanistan does not have a democracy and Afghans do not really pick how they want to be governed. They only have a weak and corrupted regime that was imposed from outside, MPs that were raised in the west and sign laws according to what US embassy wants and warlords that are free to cultivate opium in exchange of keeping Taliban at bay.

@A-Team I have been to Afghan forums, particularly Pashtun forums and there are a large amount of people who support the Taliban in Afghanistan. What might be the reasons? Not everyone supported them but a number of people did. Don't you think with people like this Afghanistan is bound to be a quagmire of hatred and fanaticism. I mean blaming only Pakistan cannot work here.
You remember the Civil war right? There were two main players, the Taliban and the northern alliance. Now the Norther alliance are in power as we all know so if there is a significant number of population supporting the opposition, that is Taliban, it wont be a big surprise. That is what that decade long Civil war was all about.
Afghan members here must also realize this that all that opposition the see have its roots in that Civil war where a part of Afghan Pashtuns don't even recognize the in power Northern Alliance as Afghans!!

Requiscat in pace, to the fallen. :(

You remember the Civil war right?

I am generally viewed on this board as being a supporter of Pakistan but having read several posts in this sad thread, I am wondering if some Pakistani posters also remember Pakistan's very long and intimate involvement with the Taliban. Jeez, one only has to Google Pakistan Intelligence, and Google automatically tags Taliban onto the search because of the literally dozens upon dozens of sites detailing that relationship.

All I'm saying to those who seem to want to lay the blame for this (and everything else in Afghanistan!) at America's feet is maybe they should take a good look in the mirror first.

RIP
May God give strength to Afghan Nation and her people to brave through these hard times.

Does that give a license to kill innocents at will?
I think u have somwhat a similar problem, a democratically elected govt which nobody likes. Corrupt mps. That does not give the right to ttp to kill innocents either.
U still have that good and bad taliban syndrome. This is gonna destroy the neighborhood.

The only good taliba is a dead taliban, and only democracy is the way to go, no dictatorship, no khilafat.
U need strong institutions for a democracy to function, and i think as a pakistani u should have been helping them in that instead of supportinh taliban who like anarchy.

No one SHOULD forget that sir, i don't. That is why you can see me as pointing out the idiotic mistakes we have made from time to time to be in a situation we are now. I for one never put the blame entirely of US but i expect you to share that burden with us in case of Taliban. As for ISIS i am not sure where i was wrong but Pakistan surely have nothing to do with it and the post was mainly about that.

For US Pakistan relations you will find me to have totally different views compared to most Pakistanis. Am grateful for all that help and do realize our own screw ups. Just expect the same from other side and frankly, i do get that from you!

very tragic, condolences to friends and families of the victims.

US has no problem to cooperate with Taliban as long as they accept western dominance in Afghanistan. Ismail Khan and Abu Sayaf are prime examples of this. The problem is not the Taliban, its the occupation. An Afghan can be atheist and hate the fact that imperialists have condemned his country to an endless war just because Americans want to show to China and Putin that they are supposingly peacekeepers

Some of the posters here make me sick when they try to justify the Tali carnage :( pathetic people.
If you're referring to one of my posts then I truly apologize for hurting your sentiments.
Loss of life, particularly of a Muslim, pains me as it pains you.
My purpose is not justifying any carnage or a thumbs up on death of Afghan soldiers. You don't realize the pain we feel as Pakistanis after we see Afghans betraying us and tag teaming against our sworn enemy with their eyes wide shut. You don't realize the magnitude of carnage comitted inside Pakistan using the Afghan soil.
I wasn't even cheering for death of Afghans in the recent Torkham skirmish.
Again,I apologize for my desparate comment.

Good Taliban... :astagh::astagh::tdown::tdown:

RIP to those poor souls.May god punish the culprits.

Maybe you living in a la la land but here is a newsflash for you. TTP is finished and dismantled. You sign peace deals with people if they are equal when it comes to position of strength. TTP leadership ran away and is hiding in afghanistan leaving their foot soldiers to be slaughtered by Pakistan army.

We fought them because we could. Even the swat peace deal was a trap by government to bring every talib to one place and then kill them. TTP never had the support of local population unlike the afghan taliban where they enjoy huge local support and people go to them to solve their problems.

TTP power in Pakistan right now is as powerful as a mouse is in a jungle. Everyone of those rats have been butchered , slaughtered and bombed. That is why Pakistan is at its most peacefull in more than a decade.

Then go and tell afghan gov. to stop begging Talibans for peace talks.

It is afghan gov. who just signed peace accord with hikmatyaar, who have slaughtered more or less the same number of afghan soldiers than talibans.

Why dont u accept the rule of ttp? Why did u fight them?
Because ttp is bunch of cowards terrorist financed and patronized by CIA. All TTP leaders are in Afghanistan and enjoying uncle Sam hospitality.

The US and the world were begging u to act against ttp but u did it only after the peshawar attack.

Come on dude, don't post such ridiculous comments.

Americans has never spoken a single word against TTP. TTP is CIAs brain child. There only concern has always been haqqani network

It was CIA who send abdullah mehsood from Guantanamo bay prison after implanting him with an artificial leg who along with baitullah mehsood organized TTP in Pakistan's tribal areas with CIA finances.

Americans provide TTP safe heavens and shelters in afghan soil, even today TTP chief is safe and sound in Afghanistan.

They don't want peace talks because that would be in the best interest for Pakistan. Something they want to avoid at any cost. If they were serious when it came to helping Pakistan in stabilizing then they would at least tried ONCE for peace talks. Never happened. But for some reason they're obsessed with wanting to eliminate the afghan Taliban who have massive support in Afghanistan and hold 1/3 of the country. But of course the ISI is behind that too..

And yes, just like u fought off the taliban, afghans have the right too.
Letting taliban takeover afghanistan would be the worst thing, would destroy the people over there.
Get over u bloated egos, see it rationally. Innocents being killed, women not allowed to go to school, people beaten and executed in public and u r supporting that.
I know taliban is strong, because they have the backing of pakistani agencies, they have been housed in quetta for years. Read kunduz airlift.
I may be just wasting my time trying to convince u.
But the snakes u r harbouring, will eventually come back and bite u.
And justifying killing of innocents, i just hope sanity prevails

It is afghan gov. who just signed peace accord with hikmatyaar, who have slaughtered more or less the same number of afghan soldiers than talibans

Hekmatyar atleast was honest in his intentions that he accepted the accord and stopped the fight.

Afghan govt was trying to bring peace by talking to taliban, but they have other designs.
Taliban has been instructed to continue the attacks.
Pakistan promised it would bring taliban to the table, but willingly or unwillingly has failed to so. That is why the pro pakistan ashraf ghani has turned against u.

Peace should come to afghanistan, but not by the bullying tactics used by taliban and pakistan
