KHYBER AGENCY: At least 15 people including 11 security personnel of Khasadar Force (militia) have been martyed in a suicide attack in Wazir Dhand area of tehsil Jamrood, Khyber Agency, Khasadar Fource sources confirmed SAMAA on Wednesday.
Eleven security personnel of Khasadar Force, Rangers Captain named Saleem and three civilians are among the dead.
About 12 people have been injured in the suicide attack.
Earlier, State TV has reported that 13 people including seven security personnel of Khasadar Force have been martyed in the suicide attack while the Khasadar Force sources have told SAMAA that seven security personnel were killed in the attack
The sources told SAMAA that twelve injured have been taken to the Hayatabad Medical Hospital.
The vehicle of the Zarmat Khan Afridi, the officer of the Khasadar Force was targeted in the attack. The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area soon after the blast and rescue work is being carried out.
The official sources confirmed that Line Officer Zarmat Khan has also been martyred in the suicide attack.
The civilian casualties are also feared in the attack. The official sources have confirmed that many civilians have been injured in the attack.
The officials of Khasadar Force confirmed that it was a suicide attack.
SAMAA learnt that around 15 security men were traveling in the vehicle. All the injured of the explosion are being taken to Peshawar hospitals.
