Last time was Kargil? Or was it the standoff in early 2000s when the IA ran back home?

I don't expect them to help either. And based on the number game, and better fighters, the history speaks for itself. PAF with a fleet atleast 3 times it's size with better and advanced planes (Mig-21).

I just replied to the post that PAF cannot use it's F-16s against India in anyway.

Ur leaders were so $hit scared that they begged US for intervening in that crisis and only when ur leader Musharaff promised to stop terrorist activities against India, did IA move back...

Hilarious how u change every historical event to suit ur ever huge ego...:cheesy:

C 17 and c 130s will help the troop movt capability during the war.
Imagine a c 17 dropping a t -90 or a few bmps into the war field !

.
less rcs planes like Rafale should also be deployed there .

. . .
The helicopter fleet will also be expanded by adding the new Apache attack choppers and another fleet of either Chinook helicopters or the new variant of Mi 26s.[/B]

ya we should add some AH64 for Fast attack and Add some transport Hlo like V22 ..

I think India Have no idea to buy Chinook..But some rumors says India eyes on Osprey's

and also my fav...Helo in all time

CH-47F for IAF's heavy lift requirment to replace Mi-26 is pretty much a given. Irt to the Osprey in India- it has a lot of potential to do well in the miltary market there. The IN is seriously looking at it for an AWAC platform for carriers IAC-2 and beyond whilst also looking at it for the heavy litft/utilty role to support futrue expedtionary force deployments as it looks to set up at least 2 marine expedtionary brigades (for now) to serve off its futre LHD/LPD fleet as well as in support of Spec Op missions. The IAF is also apparently interested in the Osprey for use in high altitude SAR duties aswell as standard transport duties and to compliment the C-130J-30s already in service in support of SOFs.

While Indian Air Force has bases in Udhampur and Srinagar where fighters are stationed i dont understand what difference would stationing Su 30s in Kargil make? Its ok to have transport planes their toshift logistics and troops there but what purpose will Su 30 stationed there serve as already the time taken for a fighter jet to travel from Udhampur or Srinagar to Kargil wont be more than 5mins.

Indian media again, check post #29, I think these are the only logical assumptions we can draw.

The motives behind deploying these planes on the border with Pakistan are not 'Talibanization' which actually isn't a proper word nor a reality.

The Pakistan-India border, in the Punjab area is finely mined (Anti-Tanks) and there is no way anyone can cross that, even with support of anyone. Just the higher command getting a excuse to station their latest fighters with Pakistan.

Just as a reminder, the 5th Squadron (though it does not provide the cover in the area, it can react as the distance is quite short) equipped with AIM-120s area placed near the Indian border, between Punjab-Sindh.

Anyhow, will someone elaborate how a SU-30, a C-17 or a C-130 take down anyone entering your side? Pakistan-India border is heavily guarded, with more ratio of Indians to Pakistani, 4:1 or slightly more. Is India planning to demilitarize the border?

The excuse to deploy these planes doesn't make any logic. The people are not kids to believe in the excuse.

Yes, you r right this deployment is definetly not fot for terrorist..It is because our, Border forces believe that the terrorists have backing from the pakistani force and our IAF chief is talking about taliban not LeT. Talibanis operate very longe range of weapon.
So to destory their location will be a priority for us rather than to wait for their attack and then reply.

Also talking about, operations against terrorist.. You should have known that it don't require nuclear weapon(which your GOv is producing from the funds given by US)..And getting missiles from US funds is also not going to be used against terrorists.
So don't teach us that, mki c-130 c-17 are not going to be used against and it is for pakistan..It is simply your language dude you should understand..

So, Pakistan is going to be 'Talibanised' soon after the Yanks turn tail in Afghanistan? :woot: Now that's the joke of the year!

Long range weapons? You mean like missiles that can reach India from Afghan border, the only place of presence of miscreants?
And you need to ask your Air Chief and media reporters who mixed two topics together.
