Su-57 Program Cancelled

Russians are the proudest people in the world.

Sent the first satellite into space. Built the first space suit. Sent the first man into space. Did the first space walk. Built the first space rover. Built the first space station. Built the first modular space station.

Russia fighter jets first to achieve Mach 2 speed, first to have phased array radar, first to have infrared search and track, first to have helmet mounted sight, first to have 3D thrust vectoring, first to have 360 degrees radar coverage.

What innovative thing China ever accomplished? Nothing.
WHAT A CRAP YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH RUSSIAN/SOVIETS, AS FOR YOUR INFORMATION FIRST MACH-2 CLASS JET IS NOT RUSSIAN/SOVIET IT A LOCKHEED STAR-FIGHTER YOU FOOL @undertakerwwefan EXCEPT THE ENGINES CHINESE WAY WAY AHEAD IN THE TERM OF SYSTEM INTEGRATION/SENSOR FUSION/COMOPSITE MATERIAL MANUFACTURING ETC ETC @undertakerwwefan :enjoy:

AND STAY IN PRESENT LEAVE THE PAST ALONE @undertakerwwefan KID:cry:

You Chinese need to learn something. You are nothing without western technology. You are not respected because you never contributed to humanity.

Compass is invented by Chinese. Silk, paper , gunpowder, crossbow and many ancient items.

The world fastest superpower is build by Chinese completed with Chinese own CPU. Not even American can claim this bragging rights.

AND TELL ME THE CONTRIBUTION OF RUSSIAN FOR HUMNITY @undertakerwwefan

I'm not going to list them all but in terms of space it's these.

Sent the first satellite into space. Built the first space suit. Sent the first man into space. Did the first space walk. Built the first space lander. Built the first space rover. Built the first space station. Built the first modular space station.

Tell that to the folks on International Space Station. Gee, I guess according to you these folks are wasting their times there because apparently space does not serve humanity.

Compass is invented by Chinese. Silk, paper , gunpowder, crossbow and many ancient items.

There was already papyrus before paper. Gunpowder was a freak alchemy experiment. Chinese saw no use for it. Compass was a stone. Chinese saw no use for it. There was already bow before there was crossbow. Romans had huge bows.

The worlds fastest supercomputer now resides in the United States.

How many threads will you guys open? Cancelling Su-57 is like Russia cancell 2018 Football World Championship on its own will. It just can not happen. Not in this Universe.

Exactly. With Su-57 developed since the early 2000s. 6 prototypes later and entering full production for the air force, it ain't having a fat chance in hell of getting canceled now. Su-57 ain't no Avro Arrow whose cancellation killed Canada's aircraft industry which was one of the best in the world in its day.

Russians are the proudest people on the planet.

Built the first space satellite in 1957. Built the first space suit in 1961. Sent the first man into space in 1961. Did the first space walk in 1965. Built the first space lander in 1966. Built the first space rover in 1970. Built the first space station in 1971. Built the first modular space station in 1986.

You can bet your house Russians don't go on international TV and announce anything embarrassing.

They can be proud of their past glory but the Russian now are pathetic. What achievement the Russian can be proud for past 20 years? Zero..

The very reason why a country can be ruined is when it's people keen hanging on to their past glory and stop advancing. Keep bragging about how great their past is and stop innovating and work hard. The Russian now are no more the Soviet Union. Many credit during Soviet times need to be given to Ukraine. And now they are arch rival.

The Russian now are so pathetic that they even need to sold 3 unsold frigate to Indian becos no suitable engine they can access from Ukraine due to the embargo.

Have somebody actually believed this fairy tale? Must be under 65 IQ people. It is not even fake news. It is fairy news.

Don't sweat it. Even in 2016 I posted saying the PAK FA's current version won't be mass produced.

March 2016:
https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/sukh...news-discussions.118201/page-169#post-8210926
The first variant may not be inducted beyond one or two squadrons in Russia, maybe not even that much. The second, third and fourth variants will be the standard production models. They will have new engines, new radars etc.

More in the post.

Even after explanations, people do not get it.

And some are stupid enough to believe the mass production decision that was taken in 2014 is due to PAK FA's performance in Syria in 2018, when in fact the PAK FA's performance there has actually reinforced the belief in the airframe that it's a winning design.

Now the Russians are making a next gen version of the same aircraft. In time they will see that happening. So, don't sweat it, let time prove it.

So India pulling out of the project is also 'fake news'?

Who is going to buy a tank? Pretty much only the government.

What I mean is that when it comes to national defense, whatever you make have a very limited customer base -- the government. Whether it is the US government, the Indian government, or the Chinese government, the customer base is still only one -- the government.

When India dropped the project, that was pretty much the end of the -57. Russia do not have the financial freedom to equip the Russian Air Force with the -57. Spin it any way you like, but the harsh reality is that the -57 is dead. Russia is just dragging out the dying process.

India has not left the program. We have simply put it on the backburner since the IAF need to induct about 500+ other aircraft before we take up FGFA. The current administration has simply left the decision to the next administration. This gives time for the program to mature, and the IAF wants the PAK FA flying with the new engines too.

PAK FA is now proceeding development to a 6th generation version with a new VCE engine. It's the Stage 1 5th gen version that's not going to be mass produced. I even said this back in 2016.
https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/sukh...news-discussions.118201/page-169#post-8210926

The PAK FA's development process is so vast that there is plenty of room to join in at any time. The Russians are going to be developing new variants even in 2040.

As for Russia, they are in the process of inducting about 500+ Flanker and Fulcrums, so they do not have the money to invest in the PAK FA right now. That's why there's interest in the 6th gen version of PAK FA that's coming up after 2024.

And what achievements have Chinese ever done? Nothing. It's not everyday there can be scientific progress. These come in eras.

Many credit during Soviet times need to be given to Ukraine. And now they are arch rival.

What has Ukraine ever achieved other than building an aircraft carrier for China? Ukraine accomplished nothing in history. Russia on the other hand is full of scientists.

BS. If you think Russians can't build a marine turbine you are sadly mistaken. Read it and weep.

Aerospace is combined space and aviation. Both are closely linked. Countries strong in space are strong in aviation, and vice versa.

Says who Russia will build thousand of Su-57 like Russia built thousands of MiG-21? Of course Su-57 will not be mass produced. Modern planes are so efficient 1 Su-57 is as combat efficient as 100 MiG-21. Only about 50 to 100 Su-57 will ever be built. Only about 60 Rafales were ever built for France. Only about 60 Typhoons were ever built for each of Germany, Italy, Spain, Britain. Only about 185 F-22 were ever built for the US. Just like Rafale never replaced Mirage 2000 and F-22 never replaced F-15, Su-57 will never replace Su-27.
you're really a kid pretending to fall in love with Past Soviet/Russian history, go kid read the history of F-22/ATF project F-22 Basically replacement of F-15 when F-22 pass by pentagon USAF needs 1000+ F-22 but because of dissolution of Soviet Union congress cuts the Pentagon budget massively then USAF want 600+ F-22 but F-22 budget further reduce by critical review conducted by US armed service committee that reduce further order to 200 or less, all those 4th gen fighter jets you named is replaced newer gen jet gradually not suddenly @undertakerwwefan :p:;):enjoy:
