ISLAMABAD: A ***-based student was arrested at the airport in the Pakistani garrison city of Rawalpindi on Tuesday while he was attempting to board a flight to Britain with a pistol and two knives concealed in his shoes.

Azhar Iqbal, a resident of Kohi Ratta in Azad Kashmir, was arrested by the Airport Security Force at Benazir Bhutto International Airport after a pistol and two knives were found hidden in his shoes during scanning.

Iqbal intended to fly to Birmingham in Britain on a Pakistan International Airlines flight, officials said. He told them he had kept the knives in his shoes because of the luggage weight exceeding the limits.

The joke of the century. Should have thought of a better excuse. These people should be dealt with force.

It is obvious what one intent to do with a pistol and two knives, there must be some of his friends on mission of jihad.

Yeah. Its sometimes so funny to think that even after a pistol and two knives have been found in his shoes, he is in a mode of denial. Guess what, next day he would start asking for credible evidence, and say the knives were for cutting cake.
So typical...

. .
Why not, it's plausible he wanted the knife for cutting cakes and gun for some shooting practice at a range.

Ok, just kidding..

 seriously, how can people throw such excuses? For the first time I heard something like this :D

BTW, was he the only guy with such heavy luggage issue in that flight?

Glad he was caught here and not caused any incident.Otherwise, he would have been a huge embarrassment for Pakistan like the Mumbai Attackers.
