So what is it? Is it persistent or is it stubborn? Why the joy over failure to resolve Kashmir for over 6 decades? Kashmir is an independent issue - independent from terrorism or hatred or blame games.. Its a longstanding issue.. Wars have been fought over it. What more does it need? Find an articulately written piece attached below.

India also considers Azad Kashmir as integral part of India...what about it?

It's neither persistence nor stubbornness, it's just the slow realization in South Block that no meaningful negotiation is possible under the current circumstances. For one, Nawaz Sharrif has no political capital to invest in any negotiation on any topic at all with India. Two, by invoking again and again the UN resolutions Pakistan has left no space for India to engage in any form of meaningful dialogue; India is not going to be party to any negotiation where the starting point is Indian withdrawal from Kashmir.

On what basis do you claim that Kashmir as an issue is independent of terrorism? Mumbai 2006, Kabul 2008, Mumbai again 2008 showed that the very elements that fight in Kashmir against us attacked and slaughtered Indians well outside Kashmir. The fact is, Kashmir is inseparably intertwined with terrorism and presents a credible threat to us.

Further, conflating the official narrative GOP (we exercise no control over the Kashmiri mujahideen) and the comments by the leaders of the terror organizations (We will not stop at Kashmir, we will conquer India/Delhi), there is no reason for GOI to believe that resolution of Kashmir even in favour of Pakistan would reduce our primary concern i.e. terrorism emanating from Pak soil. On the contrary, given the psychology of human nature, there is every reason to believe that these terror groups would be emboldened and launch their version of Jihad on a massive scale. This coupled with the fact that terror emanating from Pak soil will still hold the possibility and risk of a war in the subcontinent removes any merit for India accepting a resolution on Kashmir at any moment in the near future. Status quo presents the best and most logical position for India.

It's not a "failure" for us as Kashmir is a non-Issue for us.

Annihilation of India.
No no, it's not a failure for India.. The article suggests that India enjoys Pakistan's failure in trying to resolve Kashmir or asking for foreign in help in doing so.

And lol.. Nobody needs to get annihilated man.

Well, If Kashmir was not occupied from the very beginning, things would probably have been better at this point. So, India doesn't resolve Kashmir and is committed to have it under their control presuming that it's a credible threat? Well, that's not logical. Credible threat based on a few theories that really are an inkling of atrocities that India herself commits within the region?

How about giving freedom to the Pakistan Held Kashmir!! I mean lets make them their own country out of P.A.K, set an example for India
Why not just have proper elections there and let the people decide how they want to live; with India, Pakistan, or independent of both? How is that a bad idea?

The article quoted has more laments on the failure of NS's trip to US than the subject it allegedly covers.

Getting bored with such articles. Aren't Pakistani journalists tried of writing the something again and again???

Same question for Indian journalists.

. .
You will be nice with someone only if they were or are nice to you right ?
This statement is true from an Indian's as well as a Pakistani's perspective.

Why are you even talking about being nice when men from your country are trying to cross our borders with weapons ? The present atmosphere will persist as long as Pakistan is claiming Kashmir.

First of all, this election you're stating doesn't need to be taken place If you had not Invaded kashmir in 48 .. why do you want to act as a savior while you crated all this mess!!???

Not entirely true. Yes, the article quotes NS's "failure".. two aspects are mentioned primarily. F-16s, and US' support for resolution on Kashmir.. The visit is dubbed failure with regards to those two aspects by the Indian media. It's Indian joy in Paksitan's alleged failure that is discussed especially in reference to Kashmir. Which turns right back into whether India is happy with the current relationship with Pakistan, cuz Pakistan certainly isn't.. And hence the question.. Will India make nice? Ever? The current situation is anything but!

India isn't interested in peace with Pakistan. And I am not an Indian journalist.
So stubborn India then?

If Pakistan is indeed in the wrong here, why doesn't India make a fuss about Kashmir as much as Pakistan does? Why are they happy if Kashmir stays unresolved?
