Stranded Pakistanis in Bangladesh are forgotten victims

How can they be stranded? If their intention was to find refuge in a Muslim land well Bangladesh is a Muslim country and full member of Organization of Islamic Countries - OIC.

So what are they chasing? Muslims or a name?

In any case, his posts clearly exhibit the prevalent sentiments against the Muhajir community in Pakistan.

Let me just fix that assumption, before I am called racist. And no I don't differentiate between muhajirs and the locals.

THOSE WHO CHOSE PAKISTAN at the time of separation, already came to Pakistan, those who stayed were left behind in Bangladesh, there is 0 responsibility on Pakistan to cater to those after 50 years. Whether they want to be in Pakistan or not it doesn't matter now. They have lived their whole lif in either India or Bangladesh. Pakistan has NO SPACE, NO MORAL OBLIGATION and NO NEED for them.

Now if someone who is delusional and thinks that people migrating from Bihar to Bangladesh are somehow Pakistani's now, now with that I have a big problem. Because it is clearly retarded, it doesn't make any sense, whether we made any promise in past or not, it doesn't matter, because it doesn't make any sense.

Not only Pakistan promised to take them back, they were also provided with funds from Saudis and UAE to settle the refugees in Pakistan.

In 2008 when a judgment by the Dhaka high court gave them the right to Bangladeshi citizenship. The judgment does not cover refugees who were adults at the time of 1971.

In March 2015, the Pakistan Ministry of foreign affairs said that more than 170,000 Biharis had been repatriated to Pakistan and the remaining 'stranded Pakistanis' are not its responsibility but rather the responsibility of Bangladesh...

Since PK doesn't want its Wafadar Bigaris, we might as well heavily promote birth control in the slums inhabited by these creatures..

Assimilate or Perish... Your masters have forsaken you..

We have over 2 million Bangladeshi who were migrating to Karachi until the 80s. What would you have us do to them birth control as you suggested or bullets between the eyes to please you...

lol The fact that you used "Muhajir" and "local" separately itself is a proof what and how you consider them.

I believe it's a Bengali country first and foremost and Behari and Bangalis have historical beef

Something like Punjabi, Pushtun but because we're a muslim country it's easier to make both cammunites feel part of the country

Not so easy if the name of the country is literally Bangladesh and going by @DalalErMaNodi post

It seems Bangladesh want them to assimilate into larger Bangali identity

Which ofcourse they won't like

It's like asking Pashtuns to assimilate into Punjabi culture or vica versa

?? So what word should I have chosen for the people who migrated from India or Bangladesh? Should I call muhajirs, local now, while explaining my point? What kind of Bangladeshi mental gymnastics is going on?

Obviously there are people in Pakistan who migrated from India, Bangladesh and obviously, there are people who didn't migrate were local. Both as much Pakistani as the other. Similarly, I don't want to talk in place of Indians but many people migrated from Pakistan to India and they are as much as Indians as the locals. And yes I am talking about at the time of separation, not the ones that migrate nowadays, they are either opportunists or traitors.

They accepted Pakistan as their country not Bangladesh. They have the right to do that. Plus they sided with Pakistani army.

Those are cowards who backed PK back in the day.. reward their loyalty in any way you so please..

If that is how you speak about our own, it all starts making sense. :enjoy:

Majority already took Bangladeshi citizenship but there is still a small community who wants to be repatriated to Pakistan.

The way you have abandoned your fellow Pakistanis who stood by the country at its darkest hours in both '47 and '71, makes your screaming about Kashmir to be crocodile tears.

It doesn't take much to repatriate few hundred thousand "Pakistanis" back to your country who may already have relatives there. It's only your fragile national integration that is preventing you to accept them.

As my grandfather served in East Pakistan as a civil servant

He said 90% of men with beards at the time were backing Pakistan including Islamists without beard

The biggest "cowards" was anyone affiliated with a madarsa

Lol my local Masjids maulvi is a Bangladeshi, he is still very pro-Pakistan

You realise that people are and can be extremely selfish.. Backing the PK establishment would just mean they want to live their lives under the miserable state of affairs rather than stand up for change and perhaps die as a result.

Which does make them cowards and Yes, a large majority supported Pak for this reason and not because they're head over heels for what Pak stands for..

And lastly Mullahs (misguided) took Ummah route and would even back their mothers assailant, If the culprit was muslim.

Read it again, I am talking about Bangladeshi holding Bangladesh citizenship migrating to Pakistan for better economic opportunities in the 80s...

Pak is not taking them so it only leaves you guys to provide them equal citizenship rights as the 1971 adult traitor mantra doesn't not hold any water in 2021 or considering the ethno fascist nature of hasina regime cause an armed insurgency in your country which is pretty much a logical conclusion.

Those who were adult in 1971 are 68 years or more and certainly majority died. We are talking about their decendents who would like to be in Pakistan despite having opportunity of obtaining Bangladeshi citizenship.

One such guy is running a paan khokha in our city . The old man could barely speak a sentence properly in local language
Those who were adult in 1971 are 68 years or more and certainly majority died. We are talking about their dependents who would like to be in Pakistan despite having opportunity of obtaining Bangladeshi citizenship.

That's their problem then and May Allah swt brings the best out of this situation for both parties
