Imran Khan and his team has gone overboard advocating Afghan Taliban, He must take a back seat now and let them take care of building their image and establish their international relations.
they have the experience of over a decade dealing with Americans, Russians, Chinese, Arabs and Iranians when their offices were setup on request of Americans in Qatar and UAE.

the Western Media is not interested in philosophical debate or fact finding nor it has any time for lecturing from anyone let alone Pakistan. it has formed an opinion about Afghan Taliban and by extension Pakistan.

former president Ghani fleeing with Millions of Dollars is a distant memory. the collapse of 300,00 "strong ANA" army is forgotten. what Western media remembers is to blame Pakistan for fall of Kabul and Afghan ascend to power.

its a given that any interview by CNN, BBC and the like always have the same set of question where anyone representing Pakistan will be reminded where OBL was, will be required to explain why Afghan Taliban won? demanded to ensure Taliban respect Western version of Women rights and apologize for the Fall of the Kabul.

I agree with Moeed that Imran's media team must study how Iranian FM Jawad Zerif deal with Western media. there is nothing to explain. Pakistan has its interest and it will do what is in its best interest.

Its not Pakistan's fault that ANA was a lie, Ghani and his cabinet was a lie. the West did what it wanted for 20 years and its puppet government ran off with the cash in the end.

Correct. The more he's trying to defend, more they're letting him down.

Taliban have been dealing with the Americans as hostiles, the Iranians Chinese and Russians to gain support and developing offices overseas as in Masshad and Qatar. Do they really need a way to explain themselves? No, they ain't interested and now Pakistan is really pushing far far away making a joke out of itself. If AT were interested, they'd have done that themselves. Imran believes too much in talking rather than actions and were becoming a clown.

Give it a break and let things go themselves. If AT really know how to stay, they'll do. If not, Afghanistan will remain what it is. A land of mess.

Fedup with this Taliban this and Taliban that, Afghanistan need help Afghanistan need bla blaa I am fed up with Khan speeches and repetition of the same mantra again and again. It could have been better if he behave like a PM of Pakistan instead of Afghanistan.

Prime Minister is trying too hard to sell the Taliban, and it's looking really silly in the international press.

he is dairh hushyar, we all know that he thinks he knows everything about everything so i doubt he listens to his media team as well, yes he is going overboard with this and should stop ... sheeesh

he’s speaking up for his fellow Pashtuns trying get them some good.

Then The Talibs should start showing him some appreciation by creating the government they want to show the world and not delaying with this interim government they are presenting. Having said that, Obviously, they are making the government the way they choose; it is their country. Best to leave it to them, otherwise they may become hostile towards Pakistan, even if they need Pakistan. Afghans don’t like to be told what to do, even by well meaning fellow Pashtuns.

One thing they could do, is show tangible signs of appreciation, by getting their Financial house in order. They can start by allowing Pakistani trucks to travel to Uzbekistan and provide adequate security so that Pakistan doesn’t have to keep so many troops on its western border, so the PA and FC can focus on the miscreants in KPK and Baluchistan, while they focus on dealing with ISIS-K. Also, they should be providing adequate security so mining operations can start up, and they can pay for their own needs. They need an estimated $5 billion a year to keep their economy going at a bare minimum. They should be using their security to be generating revenue, so they aren’t dependent on foreign aid.

Stupid thread!

IK is advocating for Pakistan and what is in Pakistan's best interest - keep repeating the narrative (example: IK banging on about RSS Fascism for 2 years at all forums and the world is realising and talking about it including conferences etc). Peaceful Afghanistan under pro-Pakistan Taliban control is the best outcome for Pakistan.

Supern analysis. Exactly my sentiments word for word.

It may come to pass that Afghanistan may ask PM Pakistan to calm down and work on bilateral actions before gaining confidence of the regional countries and beyond.

PM has done an appreciable job of educating the masses that Afghanistan left alone would be repetitive of the same failed routine.

IK needs to step back for a while as he is just repeating the same thing. He needs to save his energies for the next arrow coming his way as India is relentless to undermine Pakistan. Best thing IK can do now is for his own country and focus on the economy and phase 2 of the CPEC for the industrialization.
