STM is taking its place with naval engineering and tactical mini UAV systems at the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX 2022, which is one of the most important exhibitions in the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

STM500 is showcasing for the first time in Azerbaijan

The diesel-electric attack submarine STM500, developed for shallow waters with national engineering skills, is showcasing at the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX 2022.

The small-sized submarine STM500, designed by STM engineers with only national means, to meet tactical needs such as reconnaissance and surveillance, special forces operations, and anti-submarine warfare, will thus be exhibited for the first time at ADEX 2022.

The STM-500 will displace approximately 500 tonnes, have a crew of 18, and be able to transport a squad of 6 special forces personnel. It is being designed to have an endurance of 30 days and a maximum dive depth of 250 meters.

National Engineering Products at ADEX 2022

Being Turkey's first national frigate, I-class frigate MİLGEM, STM-MPAC, designed to perform surface and air defense warfare missions in severe sea conditions, in the open sea, and in areas close to the shore; Rotary-wing attack UAV system KARGU, fixed-wing attack UAV system ALPAGU and UAV system TOGAN is also taking its place at the STM stand at ADEX 2022.

STM500 very cheaper to compare Type class submarines btw it can use heavy class torpedos like Type 214 class. it is hard to detected because of small size and AIP capability other side it can be operated at shallow waters like aegean sea.

So low cost, more stealth and high maneuver would bring more succesfull result. i think STM500 would be another game changer weapon.

STM 500 good option who wanna protect their homeland like Japan, Malasia etc.
