Stand for anthem, you Pakistani: How man in wheelchair was abused

if you wish to you can sing when u eat bath shit drive brush sleeping having sex getting beaten or doing nothing.

but let him have his choice. why forced patriotism infect if its forced it cant be patriotic.

Respect for the nation and what it stands for is not optional but enforced. Standing up for the Anthem is the touchstone.

Respect is always enforced. Should always be enforced.

Its not optional.

Patriotism is not optional either.

Nationalism is optional.

So much stupidity in one sentence:

A wheelchair-bound man was allegedly called a 'Pakistani' for not standing up while the national anthem was being played before a movie screening.

So people who don't stand for the national anthem are 'Pakistanis?' And what's the point of playing the national anthem before a film screening? Since when is going to a movie hall a patriotic act? I swear some of these nationalists bhakts in India are morons-- and fascists! A dangerous combination.

You must do a candle light march against it. :agree:

After that you can call them bhakt, chaddi, rss, fascists, nazi, hitler, taliban, hindoo, yindooo, zionist, jew lovers ........ etc.

Oh wait, you have already used up "bhakt" and "fascist". Now all you have to do is use the rest to prove you are a libertard.

.
We don't see eye to eye on this and that is fine.
But when in your opinion is the appropriate time to sing the anthem?
Independence and Republic day only?
somebody else replied already and I have similar sentiments.. it seems you like to sing it and you have every right to do what you like..
I believe govt should allow maximum freedom to the populace and only enact laws(to remove freedom) for significant good...this is the secret of a happy citizen... being able to what you like.
I see this as interference in personal freedom without any significant real benefit.
Now if cinemas on their own did it, no issues, I might still be critical but I still might choose to go if its near to my house... in terms of freedom of choice its not as free as simply showing the movie I paid for, but better than being forced against my will.
I also see the hypocrisy in judges order, when they rejected a petition to sing national anthem in courts, now which is more appropriate place? cinema or court?

I also dont like govt telling us what to do and what not to do, in general. As asians it seems we are predisposed to worshiping authority figures and taking things as true when told. This is a problem we should proactively work to mitigate.
We want to create a generation of people who are taught not to take things on face value, find truth in multitude of false narratives, a citizen that can create true knowledge based economy and take decisions in every sphere based on logic and reason.
Our army wants smart/scholar warriors, we can continue to modernize our army's hardware but human resources cannot remain village idiots for all the time.

Oh, I can use more words to describe such idiocy, but your post pretty much sums it up for me. Now go get some burnol. :flame:

By the look of it, you are the one who need burnol after reading about the compulsion to stand during the national anthem in India

Too bad you can't do jack $hit about it except for rant in a pakistani forum. LOL...... at your despair.

There is a time and place for everything.

This is the time and place for standing for the national anthem when it plays in the theater.

Like I said, too bad if you can't handle it. No one gives a $hit either way.

There's a time and place to stand for the national anthem, but what is the point of doing it before a screening of a film? Give me one good reason.
