China does mix various systems together to suit her own needs, but Soviet system dosen't account for much in today's China, it's just a name which the current government can have legitimacy to rule, believe me, no one in today's China still believes in Maxism and communism, but as long as the name can hold the country and people together, no one would try to change it.

I don't expect foreigners to be able to fully understand China's current governing system, you have to be very familiar with the Chinese history and all governing system througout various dynasties to see that today's China's governing system is just a rehashed copy of the past. Old systems and traditions die hard.

Maybe Koreans , Japanese or even Vietnamese can understand what I m trying to say more than others, they used this same system for thousands of years as well.

Mao was great at fighting wars and revolution. By looking at the fact that all Confucius nations and regions, namely mainland China, Taiwan, Hong kong ,Singapore, Korea and Japan almost embarked the same path of development mode, you can see how big a part of this common Confucius system played in those countries's politics and governance, the core of those nations never changed, no matter what systems you dress them up.

He predicted back in 2009 that China would need to decouple with the US if necessary. Those Dengist idiots can never have this kind of foresight.

Good luck convincing the British nation on adopting Sharia Law. And it has holes big enough for Titanic to sink inbetween. The practice and manifestation of something is test of a idea. No it won't. This country has seen far, far, worse. I lived through 1970s, 80s and they were worse. As long as this country caps immigration it will be fine.

I wasn't talking about Britain. Why would the British adopt a legal system that is alien to thier values and culture? Pakistan would benefit from it as the legal system is in line with the culture and values of the vast majority of Pakistani people.

Where is it successfully applied? Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, other Gulf Arab states, Iran, Jordan, in fact Google it - there are dozens of countries where it is the recognised legal system. Pakistan has a legal system only on paper. Judges appointed by the elite applying colonial era laws designed to protect the interests of the powerful over the weak.

All I know for sure is that parliamentary democracy is not the answer for Pakistan. We need an authoritarian form of government and in my opinion it needs to be dressed up religiously to hold any authority in our country.

We can't have the same fuedals, industrialists, judges, politicians, lawyers, Generals and Beaurocrats in a different system and expect it to work for the country. We need a change in personnel as much as we need a change in the system of governance and the judicial system.
