It gives a better measure of population density in any country because it is based on arable land .Most of Pakistan's land is useless . Where almost half of India's land is arable .

I don't get why the fudge would you compare on arable land density. All people don't live on cultivated land. If everyone measured like that, the density of Mumbai would be somewhere in the millions.

It's more feasible to judge on the land divided by the population. Not everyone lives on farmland.

Its more logical to see how much arable land is available per person

India: 0.13 hectares per head
Pakistan: 0.12 hectares per head.

So inspite of the bigger population and higher population density we have higher arable land per person than Pakistan. In the future considering our lower fertility rate than Pakistan, we will improve this statistics vis a vis Pakistan.
