Ambition is not wrong but Indians should keep in mind that India has a long way to go and a lot to improve to be a superpower. I myself want to see a developed India because it's good for entire South Asian economy.

While you south asians are trying to give it what ever color you seem fit, but I am of a firm opinion that local politics is what has been the determinant factor in weeding the incumbent out.

Local politics? With so many small time politicans, a coalition was the only answer to garner enough votes. Someone or somebody had to play a role behind the scenes to organzie that. I'll bet India made a role in ousting the previous PM.

Yes because of some reason like S&T ,emerging economic growth etc.

No ,Because we always follow peace as our policy.Can you show any other example where a small island nation like Maldives kicked on the chin of a major nation like India and get away with it without any consequences ?
That is our level of peace.Still we have a long way to go because we still have 30 crore poverty and need huge develooment.But when at certain times ,when.puch come on the shove we will leave that peaceface temporarily yet brutally.At any case allowing a Chinese nuke sub in your docks without inform us was too far push.Your President violated his agreement with us.He already knew our frictional relation with China and 1962.Yet he did it.
And I already explained the importants of our South India.
But I dont blame SL .It was your President for his own benefit even amended your Constitution and received loans for exaorbitant interests from China.

Chinese did a lot of mistakes when that weak UPA was in our Centre.They took their soft state mentality for granted .
They started this game and we are also moving our steps.

i.e. because you don't share your border with China or with a fortunate stroke of your luck are not in SCS but in IOR.
there are two situation in respect to China

• either you submit to them if you chance upon to have borders to them and then have all weather friendship.

China stand with SL through the test of time, China economy can only benefit SL economy progress through win win cooperation, China/Vietnam relation ran deep for thousand of yrs, a relationship hard for anyone outside of China and Vietnam to fully understand. Vietnam animosity toward a dominant China is a well understood throughout history. I don't need to explain for China and Japan, history of WW2 fully self explanatory, Taiwan still at a civil war in a sense without actually fighting a war. Misleading how China interaction with SL would be similar how china interact with her neighbor.

Well i think that is more or less established by 99% of the people.. A strong SinoLanka relationship that they have and had for over 60 years.. This is not a recent phenomenon.. Just that during the last regime the foreign policy had been lopsided, The new govt won a mandate for a more balanced approach and thats whats happening, It's neither pro India/West nor anti China

China also actively sponsors and supports terrorism in other countries. It only threw a bone at Sri Lanka because it see the strategic value of Sri lanka regarding India.
