Yaara I hear you but I don't want to get into discussing political polemics as its basically a black hole and people get very emotional and it will get us nowhere. All I'm saying is that there's a means to an end and that has to be honored. End does not justify means, and in this case it will be fully counterproductive IMO.

Hey..nobody argued otherwise..but pls don't also shy away from the Black July riots that catapulted LTTE from an obscure group to a dreaded organization.

As for grudges even nations cannot let go of things that happened decades back and LTTE is just a group.

As for grudges even nations cannot let go of things that happened decades back and LTTE is just a group.

Black July only strengthened LTTE by en massing Tamil public support to it. But we should not forget that at that time there were other military Tamil organizations exists other than LTTE.

However LTTE's ruthlessness never catapulted it to become a dreaded organization. It was it's leader, Prabhakaran which made sure his organization would stand above all other groups by any means necessary. He himself ordered assassination od Tamil intellectuals who pose a political and military threat to him.

If your argument is correct what SLG should do is to around up all the Tamils and shoot them all. Any nation cannot progress with grudges in their minds. Or else it will be an unending chain of killings and massacres. As Lord Buddha once said one cannot stop fire by fire, rather it will be stopped by water.

Chennai, Mar 18 (PTI) Days after a Sri Lankan priest was attacked at Tanjavur, suspected pro-Tamil men today assaulted another priest at the Central railway station here.

Police identified the victim as Bandara (33) and said he was part of a group of Sri Lankan pilgrims, who arrived here enroute to Colombo after visiting various holy sites including Gaya.
