Sri Lanka willing to assist India combat LTTE threat

It was india's help that Sri lanka was able to get rid of LTTE..
and why did India help?
ans:- India's most powerful woman was made widow by that organisation...
how did India help?
through sale of arms and ammunition... navy patrols so that LTTE gets starved from arms and ammunition...and couldn't escape

Look man, there is no proof of anything that you said. Only a women like Indra Gandhi could have taken steps like that. I don't think any of our Prime Ministers had the balls to take measures like that. Everyone just cares about there vote bank.
I mean, just correct me if i am wrong, but if everybody knows that some political leaders and separatist leaders like Gilani are responsible then why not charge him.

Eg: on February 3, 1984, a group calling itself the Kashmir Liberation Army kidnapped India's Deputy High Commissioner in Birmingham, Ravindra Mhatre, demanded a ransom and killed him two days later.
In response Indra Gandhi ordered the hanging of Maqbool Bhatt, the founding father of JKLF which was actually responsible for that killing. This kind of decisions making capabilities should be there in the leadership.
If it was upto our present leaders, Maqbool Bhatt might still be sitting in one our jails enjoying his life.
I don't know what our govt. is doing with Kasab ??/

Only because of IN's sucsessful destroyal of the Tiger's Arms smuggling network from malaysia,thailand through the high seas that the Tigers were defeated.

If IN had even turned a blind eye,the fight for Eelam would be still going strong.

It wasn't to hurt any of our people feeling either. But I said this because there is no proof of any such kind of operation and hence it is a opinion.

What he said is fully true.

I am not saying that India did nothing. What I am saying is India did less than what it could have done. Just look at the operations carried out by IA in the beginning during the late 1980s.
Also we should not underestimate SL Army.

We started selling the arms only after it was found out that SL is getting huge help from China and that it is getting closer to China which was not good for India.

maoists dont land up in any other country......unlike the people from East Pakistan and srilankan Tamils......we have basic human values of providing basic amenities .....but you cant expect us to feed them for life we have our own population to feed.


its more than vote bank......its tamil blood thats on line ....if Sri Lanka wants to prevent any more bloodshed...it has to offer one basic thing---stop sinhalese domination and let the Tamils live as equals......that is what congress is trying to do ....coz this is one major issue that it will have to tackle (the main reason-the Sri Lankan Tamil civilians have concerned brothers in India who care for their well being more that of other people because of similar blood lines and culture/language..........remember Tamil is the oldest living language of the world because of a reason
