Sri Lanka is not asking for the stake. It wants to ensure that the plant will work safely. That's why we need SL team inside the plant. However GOI won't allow that for sure.

No nuclear plant is accident free.

Yup no nuclear plant is accident free, and it is indeed a danger to people's life. Like in the Fukushima disaster. We should ensure Sri Lanka is comfortable, and provide them with adequate data to alleviate any fears. But we shouldnt let Sri Lankan teams inside the nuclear plant, as that is a violation of Indian sovereignty. Noone except IAEA, because we have international commitments. But we do have our responsibilities toward other nations that we should fulfill.

Veddas became Tamil more recently after Tamils established them selves around Batticalo and surrounding areas. I do agree that Veddas has become more Tamilized or Sinhalalized but they are the direct link to our native inhabitance whom Sinhalese are derived. Even Vedda language is pro Sinhalese than anything.

IT's not about IAEA report. The plant may be safe. But SL concern is to how the plant will be run.

If every neighbor country starts demanding an inspection irrespective of IAEA report, whats the use of IAEA then?
