8000 is a faux. Real count is more than 15000 were killed during the final phases of the war.

How do you know what is a hoax and what is the truth? what sources do you have?
Two investigations revealed that the number of death is around 8000.

You cannot justify killing civilians in chunks stating LTTE had them as hostages.

The Sri Lankan government under Ranil and Sirisena has accepted the UN report in toto which states that Sri Lankan government forces and Tamil Tiger rebels most likely committed war crimes including mass killings of civilians during the long conflict and that it should be prosecuted by a special court with international judges.

The Sri Lankan government even co-sponsored a resolution at the United Nations. Sri Lankan soldiers are to be tried in a special court for war crimes and crimes against humanity with international involvement.

Former navy commander Somathilake Dissanayake has been asked to report to PRECIFAC today to record a statement on the controversy with regard to the floating armoury belonging to Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Ltd.

A senior official of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) told Daily Mirror that the former navy commander was summoned to clarify certain matters that had arisen with regard to the evidence recorded earlier in this connection.

Former defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa, current Defence Secretary Karunasena Hettiarachchi and Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Ltd Chairman Victor Samaraweera were earlier summoned by the Commission to record their statements.
