Srilanka should realize that the Island is going to stay under Indian shadows and it is not going to move to SCS. Any noise coming from Srilanka against India is of no use. It is upto Srilanka to decide whether to go with India or try to play a dubious game balancing India with China.

Rajapakse should realize that no matter how much noise Srilanka is going to make it will be of no good for Srilanka's future. If Srilanka wants to earn and develop its economy it must have good relations with India. If India wants to negate the Chinese projects it can do it easily by developing another world class port near to hambaotota on Indian soil and develop its own tourism industry to counter that of Srilanka.


It is with the same kind of attitude they allowed pakistani jets to fuel during war which further deteriorated the relations. LTTE may have gone but the ideology and donor base is still intact and with out India cutting the supply lines of LTTE it would have been difficult for Srilanka to win the war and without India's support Srilanka would not prosper or even emerge as a peaceful nation.

Srilanka should implement the terms agreed just before the LTTE war.

They can bring economic sanction on bases of Human rights or what not. Remember US can create reasons out of thin air . And the time where Srilanka wants to develop, they can't afford to go against US led west and India for China. Also US is decades ahead of China too. They can offer you better development and everything.

It is our right to go with what ever country we like. Actually it's not about India or China thing, what Sri Lanka doing is trying to go with best performer. If next performer is Brazil definitely Sri Lanka will try to take advantage from that by making more relationship.
