The border is just an amplifier, the core issue with them is ethno-racism, they do not like Pakistanis, mainly the Punjabis, and see themselves as simply superior. This is a common mindset in 99% of them at least. The border gave them a reason for conflict, which they thrive off of because they still have a conquest mindset from the 1800's but don't realise the world has moved on.

If we weren't in such a negative position with our borders and inner turmoil, the only way to fix their mindset would be to publicly humiliate them so they have no grounds to be racist on. A squadron of combat jets doing strikes.

But we still have to think of the outcomes of our actions, can we afford another border dispute at the same time? I fear our leaders may just allow an open border.

What these bunch of neantherdals don't realize is that they managed to kick two super powers all with the help of Pakistan .It it wasn't pakistan they had no chance. Even today without the help of Pakistan they would probably die from starvation. No economy,no infrastructure,severe food shortage,no strong institutions and government structure and they are more concerned about the fence. And most importantly not a single county on this planet recognize Afghanistan as a country lol.
They can't go against pakistan without risking their very existence.The fence will be there always whether they like it or not.
