I don't see that happening. First, the US won't attack Iran. Second, a great majority of the Azeris don't have separatistic feelings. Third, you think Iranians would stand by and watch how even one inch of their country is being taken? You could expect millions of Iranians who will voluntarily defend Iran from any threat thinkable. Even Saddam misjudged Iranian nationalism in the 80's.
