A population approaching 200 million people surely can do better? If you are at India's level you would have won at least 1 or 2 in these last 5 olympics and be trying to actually win something this year.....rather than have the "amateur" clause handy when its a big fat zero again.

BTW dont bring up "super power" with me...I have never claimed India to be a super power....especially in sports.

Have you looked at global hunger index and seen where India is and where Pakistan is (and what the changes are between years)?

Literacy rate, Pakistan is actually FALLING. India is getting past 80%.

Life expectancy, India higher. GDP per capita, India higher, Education...just check UNESCO stats for that (less said about Pakistan the better).

We sent 83 athletes to your 21. About 4 times more. They didnt win 4 times more medals, they won INFINTELY more medals because Pakistan won a big fat zero yet AGAIN.

Sir before you rant more shit - please look at the number of athletes Pakistani brang and the number of Athletes - Jamaica/India brang.

So? Many countries sent even fewer athletes than Pakistan did, yet won some medals.

Athlete number excuse is a lame one. If most Pakistani athletes cannot meet the qualifications...and those that do cannot win any medals....that is clearly evidence Pakistan is doing a lot worse than it did before w.r.t sports....because you did win medals before....no matter what your contingent size was.

Anyways, both countries have to improve their sporting performance by leaps and bounds....we are both pathetic....but India is at least on the right track somewhat. Pakistan needs to get back on track to stem the decline it is in now.

Indian posters would surely disagree with me but Pakistani's are more natural athletes when it comes to South Asia, But they seem to lack serious sporting culture apart from obsession for cricket, You can see they excel in Field Hockey and Squash if they choose to put more effort in to it

Secondly, the results already are starting to speak for themselves. Give it a decade, our investments have only just begun. India would utterly destroy Pakistan in every sport there is in Olympics. .

The advantages we have is that we have so many different ethnicity and races that excel in one sport each. For example people from one state in India excel in Wrestling while another state excels in Archery. Indians are far better natural athletes.
