. . .
I'm wondering if rather than resigning N.S & family will simply opt for an extended vacation abroad, enjoying their fine mansions in London and elsewhere - openly now, rather than secretly as before. The mob won't be able to touch him and he'll retain diplomatic immunity for without a revolution how can he be removed from office?

. .
I don't think he'll resign, and I also don't think that he'll be forced to resign. Funny thing is, NS himself is actually legally covered. According to the leaks, he was never, on paper, actually involved. It's his children that were involved. Now, he could be using them to hide his money, and I actually think he is, but unless anyone can prove that, he'll be perfectly fine.

I think most people know how credible Shahid Masood is... and who his soft corners are...

No resignation happenin without investigation and verdict. Imran Khan will probably become stronger in opposition but at the end of the day PML-N will complete its term, complete all projects promised to people on time and get re-elected.

Raiwind palace don't know the date though @Norwegian
Let angry Khan tell you that

complete all projects promised to people on time and get re-elected.

Is it a political party or a party of construction workers? :hitwall:

If he is so clean what was the need to address the nation on his private business empire?

People want electricity, gas, water, hospitals, universities, roads, transit, etc. Governments are elected around the world for this reason.

There are some suspected scandals around many leaders but in the end they make up for things other parties failed to do. This is politics of its kind.

For instance, Erdogan was bothered by corruption and putting bans on media in Turkey but despite his criticisms, he was able to develop his country into an economic giant and improve lives of people.

Similarly, the first time David Cameron ran for Prime Minister, people knew who his father was and what his net worth is. Tax issues was a concern but never taken seriously until now. Like Erdogan was able to get re-elected based upon his economic performance.

I am not against construction works. They are essential for the developing economy. But they must have good governance oversight which unfortunately NS leadership cannot provide. Almost every project from Nandipur to Giant Solar Park is a blunder.

My understanding is that PM Sharif's approval rating is very high. Why would anyone that politically popular resign?

When did I say he was clean? Reread my comment.

His approval rating changes dramatically, all the time.

He's popular now, but as talk of these leaks continue to spread, his rating will again decrease.

PPP - Gone
MQM - Gone
PML(N) - Gone

PTI and Pakstan Military are the only ones left to rule. Great combination indeed.
