The soldier who has been killed in ceasfire violation by Pak army is survived by his wife.


SRINAGAR: A soldier has been killed in unprovoked firing by Pakistan on Indian Army posts in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir today.

Lance Naik Mohammed Naseer was severely injured in the fire exchange that happened at 1.30 pm. He later died of his injuries.

The 35-year-old soldier is survived by his wife Wasim Akhtar.

Earlier today, a CRPF officer was injured in a grenade attack by terrorists in Kulgam district of south Kashmir, a police official said.

Unidentified terrorists threw a grenade at a patrolling party of the Central Reserve Police Force in the main town of Kulgam, about 70 km from Srinagar.

At least two terrorists were killed in an encounter today that broke out in the Satora area of Tral, around 36 km from Srinagar. The bodies of the terrorists were yet to be recovered, said a senior police officer.

NEW DELHI: A soldier was martyred after Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Manjakot area of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Saturday.

Lance Naik Mohammed Naseer succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, a senior police official said.


Earlier, giving details about the exchange of fire, defence ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta said, "Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing at Indian positions in Rajouri's Manjakot and Balakot sectors of the LoC."


"Unprovoked firing from Pakistan's side started at around 1.40pm," he added.


He also said that the Pakistan army fired at the Indian posts with small arms, automatics and mortars and the gunfight is still under way.
 
it is madness from both sides. Killing soldiers by sniper fire, busting the bunkers. Soldiers of both sides are cannon fodder. Apparently it does not matter because life is cheap and in abundant quantity on both sides.

Better have war instead of this daily craziness.
