JAMMU: A soldier died on Saturday after accidentally falling into a deep gorge along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
Lance Naik Suresh Gurgey was part of a patrolling party in the Kalal area of Nowshera sector, they said, adding he slipped and fell into the gorge and sustained severe injuries.

He was immediately taken to a hospital, where he died.

So it adjustment has started.

Hahahahahaaa like clockwork.

How can anyone have a shred of respect for the servicemen of an army that doesn't itself respect its servicemen enough to declare them KIA defending India against Pakistan?

When Hindustanis discover enough shame to respect their dead, then I too shall respect them.

Can't wait for the trolls to leap to their nation's defence as usual - "we have no reason to doubt the credibility of our military spokespersons, India has nothing to hide, India doesn't do disinformation, India has open media, India is democratic".

So predictable.

Wonder how many from the below figure which breaks down to an average of 115 casualties every month, had heart attacks, fell into gorges, died in accidents or avalanches or simply put it simply proved magnet for Pakistani shells and bullets.

4,132 paramilitary die on duty in 3 years: MHA

With a mortality rate of 6.94 people for 1000 individual among its population (2014), statistically for Pakistani armed forces of 640000 individuals, there should be 4316 deaths per year.. unless Pakistani soldiers only die after their retirement

Pathetic terrorist army of hind. Sometimes their coward soldiers fall, sometime rare slip. I mean too much Bollywood. I believe it's a direct headshot and that's it. They aren't brave enough to accept fatalities. Pathetic cowards of hind.

Do you even know what you are saying.....when was the last time Indian army or your MOD ever admitted over 100 casualties in any given month.....they reveal them after few years once the water is under the bridge.

The number you quoted are the total death on duty, not killed in action.. do understand that the size Indian armed forces are around 2.5 million active members

I know exactly what i posted but it's no rocket science to work out that from an average of 115 deaths every month, a good number must be due to battle related as well.

The logic you gave is as real as your profile pic. So, with a mortality rate of 6.94 you automatically inferred it to be equally distributed over all age groups? So by your definition, a 20 year old fit soldier is as likely to die of natural causes as a 70 year old diabetic and heart patient! No wonder with such logics, the ever so 'deadly gorges' seem to be the most popular method to decrease the headcount!

lately Indian soldiers getting in this bad habit of falling in gorges and rivers, first at LAC and now at LOC.
I always said Indian have very thin legs to stand on.

Absolutely agree with you. Mortality rate for soldiers who are much fitter would be less, but also they are working in much hazardous environment... Simple point, soldiers do die due to other reasons other than conflict. Just because Pakistan does not announce and india announces does not mean that we are the one losing our men..

If India has agreed to withdraw 20 km from the LCA which as China has proposed and agree likewise to do to create a demilitarise zone between them then such tragedy and conflict would be rare. :coffee:
