Visited a geological institute today and got a tour there with some colleagues. Was super interesting. The geologist told us the earths core produces constant energy with nuclear power and it is 11 tera watt per second. Thats 11 trillion watt.

To give something to scale.--the entire energy needed from all nations combined is 1,7 terawatt.

The core generates this enormous energy and with this generates a massive magnetic force shield that protects us from cosmic radiation.

We all take this for granted but have no clue what enormous power this is

If you want plate tectonics then yes, otherwise the surface would look like mars... dead and barren. You have to consider how massive the planet is, and the magnetosphere.
