What you quoted only have a hypopnea and apnea relationship, nowhere anything related to tachycardia. Although I know chronic apnea can cause sympathetic over activity which may result in tachycardia . do you have any research which links tachycardia directly to left side sleeping?

How can sleeping on left cause tachycardia? Have not read anywhere something like that.

I think she's talking about palpitations, not tachycardia. Two terms are not synonyms to each other I believe.

Yes i know about that sleeping paralysis as experienced many times since i cant sleep at left side while could not sleep at right side due to some reasons for many days.

I was talking about feeling uncomfortable while at left side sleeping
I had this few times and always felt its just me...Is it bad or normal?

OP i sleep on my stomach....I dont know but this is most comfortable position in which I get into sleep..I tried other positions many times but after few minutes end up sleeping on my stomach..Is it bad?

Many stomach sleepers experience some type of pain. Whether it is in the neck, back, or joints, this pain can affect how much sleep you get. More pain means you are more likely to wake up during the night and feel less rested in the morning.

Sleeping on your stomach places a strain on your back and spine. This is because the middle of your body is where most of your weight is. This makes it difficult to maintain a neutral spine position when you are sleeping.

Stress on the spine increases stress on the rest of your structure. Additionally, since the spine is a pipeline for your nerves, spinal stress can cause pain just about anywhere in your body. You can also experience tingling and numbness, as if parts of you have “fallen asleep” (while the rest of you is uncomfortable and wide awake).

Answers :
  • Use a thin pillow or no pillow at all. The flatter the pillow, the less angled your head and neck.
  • Stretch in the mornings. A few minutes of stretching will help get your body back in alignment and gently strengthen supporting muscles. Be sure to warm up with a little movement before stretching, and be gentle!

I don't know if Pakistanis or indeed Muslims believe in Vaastu but just yesterday I was re-arranging my fatta (door plank on which I sleep) and was Googling for which direction head should be in.

South is best. Overall for health, wealth, happiness, peace.

Next is East. (good for memory and students)

Then West.

Never in North. Only dead bodies heads are placed in North direction.

Thats exactly me..I tried sleeping on back..but my sleep vanishes immediately and could not get into sleep mode...keep awake till later in nights or no sleep for the whole night....:( :( but as soon as i turn to my routine position i.e on stomach...i m in deep sleep state...lol...

Where did you get this information from?

If you get good sleep while sleeping prone then be it, there's nothing wrong.

I am only worry now, because the position in which I am sleeping now may be not hampering me now..but in longer run, this may be a reason for any sever stuff..For example, the term sleep paralysis itself is freaky enough to be worried about...I don't wanna shorten this two word term into just single word i.e. paralysis...

Lol! Okay, let me replace those words - sleep dissociation. Don't worry the paralysis here is brief and not lethal.

Ones who sleep in supine position are more prone to have sleep paralysis. So actually you're doing great, taking precautions and sleeping in prone position.
