When Vietnam wins, it gets taken over for 27 years/loses several islands apparently. If China keeps losing to Vietnam, Vietnam will soon be split into 6 countries half of which will be annexed by their vastly superior neighbors, Cambodia and Laos.

Apart from the west, the China and Russia alliance also makes other countries like vietcongs, india etc uneasy.
