There is an unwritten rule in Indian cities that violent communities for e.g. Yadavs, Gujjars, Jats and Muslims do not get the rented apartments that easy. Even some professionals like Lawyers, Policemen also do get rented residences that easy. Telling from personal experience.

If you are veggie hindu in India then you are the top dog. You can easily get accomodation in the best of areas inspite of the fact that none of your ancestors ever really worked the land of india.

Hindus don't get accomodation in Muslim areas. Jain's don't rent out to non Jain's. Vegetarians don't rent out to meat eaters.

Generalizations are not necessarily false. Muslims don't assimilate or respect culture of others.
If you conduct a survey ask diverse group of non Muslims of all ethnicities, religion and caste, all of them would have Muslims on top of their 'not to rent your property to' list. There is no smoke without fire.

Muslims should not cry foul when they themselves don't rent out to non Muslims in their areas. For instance Millar Nagar, Bhendi Bazaar in Mumbai and Kondhwa in Pune are some of the exclusive Muslim areas.

We are peasants rural castes. Brahmin and Baniya are City Dwellers. They don't like us and we don't like them. They were historically literate and we were illiterate. Very true. Most leisurely and lucrative professions were taken by brahmins and banias. Most brutal work such as tilling land in extremely hot India was forced upon agricultural or vocational caste. Another word for this is facissm.

You are stretching this analogy too much. yes gujjratis/marwadis/brahmins can eat meat but it wont effect them while a chamar or muslim can be vegetarian and still be denied housing. Meat in india is a signal of caste not necessarily actual eating habits though eating habits roughly correspond.

Muslims discrmination doesnt matter as most posh areas are under hindu veggies.
