Sikkim standoff: Strategic importance of Siliguri corridor and why India should be wary of China

U are in no position to take sides nor ur ilkes run the show. RAW has penetrated every govt agency in ur country, like it or not. Even BNP now is playing to India's tunes. Such is the influence of India in NEpal, Bhutan and BD.

That's a nice way to console yourself. Keep doing that!

Meanwhile, the Sino-Bangla Next Generation Frigate Program is already underway while J-10Bs are on their way to join the arsenal of BAF. Do you really think our military would ever go against Chinese interests for India?

You can cry whatever u want. But the thing is India "also" helped Bangladesh achieve Independence, prevented loss of life and rapes to large extent by shorting the war. BD is indebted to us, you are indebted to me, and if you are even 1% grateful, you guys will help India to make it "even".

Indebted? Lol. Indians are living on our money, take a look at the tens of billions of dollars we are granting you in the form of remittance, export earnings and revenues from tourists. Millions of you lot will starve to death if we put a sanction on India. Not to mention, if we stop clamping down on the Northeast separatist groups, India as an entity will cease to exist.

Bangla is one of the oldest nation in subcontinent, the monk Xuan Zang ever visited Bangla which was recorded in his book <Great Tang Records on the Western Regions>.

That's true. If I'm correct Bangladesh is known as Mengjiala in China. The name of my city Chittagong was derived from its Chinese name according to some legends. Relations between Bangladesh and China dates back to the era of Qin Dynasty.

True. Mengjiala is how Bangla is pronounced in Mandarin. If there's war between India and China, the best position BD can take is, neutral. It's enough. Once India Occupied NE go independence, BD's security environment will be dramatically improved since only west border with India, the new independent NE will rely on BD to access to sea. India won't get any legal excuse to attack BD.

First decide whether you guys are Iranian or Persian or Turkish or Arab.

Because current Pakistanis are not even 1 % close to the earlier Buddhism or Hindus or Harappa culture (precursor to Hindus) as you proudly claim.

Confused lot you bunch are!

Atleast we Indians are either still Hindus or Buddhists (our native culture).

And as far as your rant against Sikhs go, they are way more tolerant/ educated and entrepreneurial even with such a minority population unlike you know the likes of others whose followers are from Boko Haram to ISIS to LeT to Taliban to Uighur militants..... list is endless.

Internet is for all I guess. :)

Bangla Muslims are themselves converts from earlier Hindus and Buddhists of present day India genius.

When did I say Pakistanis were Arabs, Turks or Iranians? You've made them up. Typical india MO

At least 30% of Pakistan's population which is Pushtun or Baloch are a Persianised race that has definitive genetic links to Iran and Afghanistan. But that does not make Pakistanis Middle Eastern, Arab or Turk.

Pakistani identity & culture is unique and different to indian identity and culture.

Your rubbish about sikhs being "peaceful" and "good hearted" is a complete usual indian lie. The genocide of 1 million innocent Pakistanis at the hands if the sikhs in 1947 is eveidence of that. Perhaps they are now because their collectiveness has been crushed forever since 1984. They are nobodies on the world stage now.

Whatever Pakistan is now or isn't, one thing is a raging certainty, the Pakistani race will NEVER be as ugly, grotesque and physically repulsive as the indian race.

Yes, that's what our official govt policy is, to stay neutral. However, as I said, if India breaches our land and air space and use our territory in any conflict against China, our military would save no time to give overwhelming support to China. Dragging Bangladesh into the conflict would be a big big blunder for India.

Indebted? Those guys are working legally.. Do u know the meaning of Legal????? Lol... It must be tough considering the Bangladeshis know to make end meet either through illegal cattle smuggling or illegal pole vaulting... First take ur countrymen sitting and eating on my tax money.......

Even when the support for NE groups were high during BNP regime, we stood strong.. Now with all its finances destroyed, they dont have a tent to begin with... We will respond where it pains...

To call urself enemy of India is insult to India... GO shoo.. make some garments.

.
Yesterday u guys were like, "We have no problem with Brahmaputra dams by China, as 80% of the catchment areas in inside India" . Now" They will open sluice gates to flood NE" as if BD will be insulated from floods..p

@Rain Man These guys dont deserve sympathy. Nor they are even 10% greatful for all the things India have done(Other than the 1971 war). We have so far desisted from building dams over Brahmaputra for BD. We should do that and flood them (as if they arent normally flooded during Monsoon)

Bangladesh is equipped to deal with floods. We get yearly floods. Your NE areas aren't. Threatening us with floods isn't going to help worth Jack Sh*t. Sorry. No matter how many dams you build (which costs money and time, BTW), Meanwhile, we will take counter-action by building catchment areas, barrages and dams on our side just across the border. Tit for tat.

U are in no position to take sides nor ur ilkes run the show. RAW has penetrated every govt agency in ur country, like it or not. Even BNP now is playing to India's tunes. Such is the influence of India in NEpal, Bhutan and BD.
I believe you are flush with hot gas in the monsoon season. Try eating some less gassy foods and stay away from the Sanghi propaganda, it'll be good for you. The sensitivity to Indian dalals, much less RAW agents in Bangladesh, is understated in Indian media. We know who the culprits are and they aren't as many as your Indian media reports. We are a homogenous country and even people who are towing Kolkata Marxist philosophies are well-marked in patriotic circles, whether religious or secular, much less any RAW agent. They will scurry home to India in due time (like the cockroaches they are) as soon as the purges begin.
You can cry whatever u want. But the thing is India "also" helped Bangladesh achieve Independence, prevented loss of life and rapes to large extent by shorting the war. Ur Muslim Ummaah thing wont give a brat if we invade BD. Infact even Pakistan will be remotely happy
READ SOME HISTORY. India used 1971 to strategically break Pakistan and create a fifteen billion dollars a year market. Nothing more, nothing less. What the heck do we owe you? We paid your debt (if any), many moons ago when you looted us dry of all industrial machinery while retreating. It's well documented.

And 95% of the war was a guerrilla war of attrition. Your troops were mobilized at the last minute to capture Dhaka and 'claim' victory. I have heard accounts of how shabby the Indian soldiers looked and Bangladeshis took pity on them by feeding them.

Your rantings about Pakistan matters not one whit. We will see what happens when the time comes.

But meanwhile, important things first - make sure your Army and BSF soldiers are at least fed proper daal roti instead of subhuman meals as seen on Youtube. That is the need of the hour instead of boasting about techno-prowess. And stop torturing people for divulging this kind of shameful details.

Legal or illegal, they are feeding on our money, if we stop employing these Indians, they will starve. And that's only Indian workers. You are receiving billions more from your export to Bangladesh as well as spending from Bangladeshi tourists. Now imagine what will happen if we stop these activities? You will have a major economic collapse in several of your states.

Even when the support for NE groups were high during BNP regime, we stood strong.. Now with all its finances destroyed, they dont have a tent to begin with... We will respond where it pains...

During BNP's time, you guys were pissing in your pants. Just think what would have happen if those 10 trucks full of arms and ammunition had reached Northeast. You guys should rather build a temple and pray all day-night for Goddess Hasina!

Try it today and we will firebomb training camps from air... And there is nothing u can do about it...

Muslims only think about other lands and destruction.. the reason of state of majority of muslim nations on earth... dream.....

95% of Indian workers in Bangladesh are illegal. Either they overstayed their visa (A minority). Or they simply crossed the border illegally (NE, Kolkata or Bihar people). The Garments Factory owners look the other way, because we need as many skilled workers we can get. And we aren't like selfish small-minded Indians, who don't give a sh*t about poor people or people darker than themselves. You being a Southie should realize this....

Okay.....

We have taken to firebombing now. You expect us to sit on our palms?:cuckoo:

Meh..they are there because the great Bangladeshi education system can't even produce skilled graduates to run even low tech industry like textiles...

Millions of you lot will starve to death if we put a sanction on India.

You're going to sanction us ? Tell me how exactly your little nation will sanction a much larger regional power? To the extent to which we'll starve to death ?

please enlighten me...

Since this thread pertains to India's north-east, i find it prudent to dispel a few doubts regarding the place. Militancy in north east India is on its last legs. Having spent a significant amount of my life in the north east it amazes me how quickly the transformation has taken place. Militancy in north east was borne out of people's resentment against what they felt was their unjust exploitation by the state. Historic issues also played their part as in case of Manipur. There was a time when parents willingly sent their wards to join militant outfits, unemployment being the culprit. But things changed quickly, as India implemented economic reforms. Jobs were created, special grants were doled out to the impoverished. We all agree that public support is crucial for sustainable militant movements. Support for the NE ultras totally dried up after a couple of incidents where they targeted innocents. One has to complement the Indian government for it for they engaged the peaceful faction with talks while crushing those who resisted. Most important in this is the role played by BHUTAN, Myanmar and Bangladesh, to some extent. I am posted in a district where almost every family had someone in the militant outfit, now the scenario is unrecognisable, youths in government jobs, toiling in their farms, at peace with themselves.

Now i didn't write this long piece for nothing. This is relevant to the current Doklam crisis. After the Guwahati bomb blasts in 2008, the Indian government launched a massive crackdown against NDFB, one of the militant groups. The members fled to Bhutan through the dense jungles of Manas National Park. ROYAL BHUTAN ARMY took them on decimating them whilst suffering massive casualties. BHUTAN made the ultimate sacrifice for us Indians and it is time we reciprocate when there territory is threatened by Chinese imperialists.

Not to mention, if we stop clamping down on the Northeast separatist groups

You do shit against NE insurgency. The only thing you do is sending illegal immigrants across the borders..

We paid your debt (if any), many moons ago when you looted us dry of all industrial machinery while retreating. It's well documented.

Sorry, but liberation never comes free. If you can't liberate yourself from your deemed oppressor & need assistance, you have to learn to live with the price you pay.

And 95% of the war was a guerrilla war of attrition. Your troops were mobilized at the last minute to capture Dhaka and 'claim' victory. I have heard accounts of how shabby the Indian soldiers looked and Bangladeshis took pity on them by feeding them.

Another idiotic claim by a third rate troll who claimed that Bangladesh is three decades ahead of India in 'industrie 4.0'

It was RAW which virtually established, trained & funded your Mukthi Bahini. It was Indian military officers undercover who led many wings of Mukthi Bahini. Yet you Bangladeshis proved so incompetent that you couldn't even hold your positions & ended up retreat to India when Pakistanis chased you. Many a times Indian military had to show up themselves to save your *** when Pakistanis were chasing you down in to Indian territory. This all happened before the publicized intervention.

And without the intervention or the blockade, the Pakistanis would have easily crushed your little insurgency...remember the failure of the monsoon offensive ?

It is also the reason why there isn't a single Bangladeshi signature in the instrument of surrender of Pakistani forces in East Pakistan.

And we aren't like selfish small-minded Indians, who don't give a sh*t about poor people or people darker than themselves. You being a Southie should realize this....

That was quite expected from a Bangladeshi. Apparently South Indians are very, very different from third rate LDC Bangladeshis in any manner- we don't play the victim card & blame what happened 40 years back for our situation.

Your rantings about Pakistan matters not one whit. We will see what happens when the time comes.

Yeah and we have been waiting since decades & nothing has happened. So LDC cheerleaders can whine somewhere else...

But meanwhile, important things first - make sure your Army and BSF soldiers are at least fed proper daal roti

Keep trolling about some random incidents in 1.4 million army...while fantasizing about these under-equipped, underfunded clowns with zero combat experience whatsoever attempting some sort of adventure in the Indian NE...

Bangladesh+Army+Image+Gallery+4.jpg

You better go back to what you do best, playing victim card- ''we were wronged in 1971, please feel sorry for us...''

CHINA is going to take over Bhutan, Nepal and Sikkim from Indian influence sphere, as well as oriental tribes in NE. They are capable and will do it. No one likes to live as second class citizen exploited by a supposedly foreign race, as evidenced by Indians calling NE Tribes as 'Chinki' all the time. They'd rather have independence.

BTW Nepal is already lost, because of the f*cked up policy India used in engaging Nepal, with blockages etc. Nice going. Bhutan and Sikkim are next with separatist movements. China is shifting its focus from the South China sea conflict to engage in Doklam.

So that's why only India is actively fencing its border-because only India receives a huge influx of illegal migrants. I wonder why any Indian, howsoever poor would be attracted to job opportunities with half of India's consumption per capita.

@Rajaraja Chola he is a pathological liar...

Bangladeshis generally do menial jobs in India and contribute to the economy through hard work in exchange for meagre wages, whereas most Indians are gainfully employed in attractive jobs in Bangladesh, earning handsomely and remitting millions of dollars to India.

But what about well paid jobs in Bangladesh that foreigners, mostly Indians, take away from Bangladeshis? We have Indians gainfully employed with foreign companies, NGOs, garment sector, trading and almost all branches of business. They also have shops and business houses all over Bangladesh.

Good luck in fighting a three front war - that is, if it doesn't escalate into thermonuclear scenario.....:-)

Is the third front Sri Lanka or Maldives ?

Bangladesh is equipped to deal with floods. We get yearly floods.

And hundreds die. And your crops get destroyed. And that's about 'normal seasonal floods'.

Had the Indian Armed Forces not withdrawn from Bangladesh post 1971, the entire Eastern region i.e, West Bengal, 7 Sisters till Agartala would burn, India would have disintegrated. Remember you had the same plan during mid 1975, however, restrained yourself, sheer out of fear.

More fantasy stories by a bunch of people, who have the reputation for getting slaughtered in millions..
