Siege Ends in Burkina Faso Hotel Attack, 126 Freed

@Vauban Thanks for tagging me. My African geography is very weak. I had check the map to find out where Burkino Faso is. Fascinating name for country.

LMAO. You don't know where Burkina Faso is located?? Cant blame you though, many people in the English speaking world don't really know much about the French speaking world/french former colonies.:agree:

.
Fist of all, I am talking about African countries who ask for the presence of Foreign troops in their soil...The French are in Tchad, Niger, Mali, RCA, Cameroon, Ivory coast, and all these countries are under attack
China, Russia that has to do more with the US-GCC anti daesh coalition to weaken them
Egypt due to the brutal exaction of Sissi on the Egyptiam muslim brotherhood
Indonesia: remnant of Abu sayef terrorism of the eighties, that Indonesia didn't fight seriously

My views are not anti French, and our history with France, is for the majority of the Algerians belongs to the museum, the war ended 50 years ago , we don't dwell on it. But I am , when it comes to Africa,I am anti French establishment and its role in the expansion of terrorism . France can't claim , she is fighting them in Mali and arming them in Syria and Nigeria. She can't voice her disdain for terror financing and paid ransoms to freed her citizen and forces countries to release djihadis prisoners can French hostages can be released...England refused and refuses to pay...does that mean that the Brits don't care about their citizens?

Of course I didn't expect any less from your answer...Western Super soldiers has it always the worse. I am glad that innocent were saved, but your Special forces intervention, wasa total failure, you can paint it any way you like...
In Amenas all the Foreigner killed happened when the dhihadists exploded their belt..because their escape to Lybia was .blocked. Over 120 foreign worker were saved and 700 nationals. By the way, in Algeria when you are in the country, you are Algerian and you are treated like any Algerian..

LOL It's OK mate, I understand your plight, as a former french colony there are many people like you who still harbor a lot of hatred/resentment of France and it's foreign policy. I have witnessed this first hand in the french African countries i have been to. So it's understandable you will make such claims.:enjoy:

To criticize French forces here i believe is a serious effort to undermine the fight against terror
They are criticizable, 28 dead, about the number double of that in wounded, 4 terrorists killed and the rest fled...For me that is failure. I guess you did like them to be criticized because it remind you the Bombay attacks and the reply of the Indian special forces...which was lamentable.
France is not fighting terrorism in Africa, she is an enabler and a financier.

..comparing apples and oranges is not correct.
There is no comparison between taking over a hotel and and gas plant, 1000 hostages, if they manage to detonate it, it would have been the equivalent of a 20 KT nuclear bomb. No terrorist escaped, no hostage kidnapped, 3 terrorists caught, secured the site in 48 hrs. That you call special forces! and no losses...

In fact every situation shows tactically the objectives of Amenas being the hostage taking of foreign ppl versus in Burkina blind massacre to create fear, panic and mayhem. It clearly defines that the two ops are completely different in objectives. naturally response would be different and results would be different too.
Really you don't mean that, or you are ignoring saillant facts. the came to destroy the gas plant and take the foreign workers hostages, looking for mostly the French and the Japanese {since both countries have a habit to pay ransoms} and kill everybody else, ie Americans and British since their respective countries refuse to negotiate with terrorists...

I told my mate that there was an attack in Burkina Faso, his reply, where?

Just another shitty African country infested with religion.

.
What i expect from your BS comments where you can't make the diference between the two situations.
Back at you! Even with the help of the US SF, you still failed lamentably! 28 dead, 50 wounded, for 4 terrorist killed and the rest fled..Way to go France.
You really want to talk about failure ?
You used attack helicopters in a gas site (A strategic place for your economy who only depends on gas and oil) against pickups full of foreign workers and you talk about failure ?
Algerian helicopter didn't fire on the pick up, they fired in front of them to keep them from running away...The pick up and the hostages were killed by the terrorist blowing their belts. That is the extent of their use, a 20mm shell would have shown a different signature on those pickups than an internal explosion. Everything else were done by the Algerian special forces that ended the operation 48hrs later ,after they penetrated in the plant. 30 Terroriste dead, 3 captured 120 foreign expatriats and over 700 algerians freed
The '700' nationals you 'saved' weren't targeted by the terrorist groups as they were separated,as they were in a safe area.
They were in the plant..their lives were at stake as those of the expatriate...the fist victim was an Algerian, just to remind you...
Out of the 107 foreign workers taken in hostage 39 were killed..... talk about failure...
The 39 were killed by the terrorist who exploded their belt , not by Algerian troops and certainly not by the algerian helicopter, like your media claim

Everyone knows you can't handle hostage crisis properly, reason we prefered to handle the crisis of the air france aircraft rather than trusting your services, because we knew there would be a real massacre ! Reason, the US special forces proposed to intervene in Ain Amenas......You thought they trusted you ? LOL.
Bullshit...Our Special forces showed the world how effective they were, and the Brits and the US got miffed because they weren't invited to dine on terrorist asses...Algeria doesn't ask help or need help...She is not France..First of all, France needs to win a war first before you can talk about capabilities. Where ever her fmilitary forces go, some country has to hold her hand...In Mali, American planes have to ferry them, and Algeria has to furnish the fuel ...Ditto in Syria, where mother America has to take her little girl to the skating ring...Like in Paris lately, Moroccans they have to come and show her where they implanted those the one behind the attack to shore up Holland dismal presidency...the list is wide as long.

I told my mate that there was an attack in Burkina Faso, his reply, where?

Just another shitty African country infested with religion.
A lot of them say the same about Egypt..

You must have some understandings problems don't you ?
The one that handled the crisis were the French special forces and the Burkina Faso police special units. The US support was ISR.
The attack in Ouagadougou was a massacre, nothing to do with an hostage crisis such as in ain amenas. (Where terrorists took in hostage foreigners to use them as human shields and then to negociate something.)
The terrorists's goal was to do a maximum of damage and they did. 4 terrorists were killed, there's no "rest".

When they tried to flee your helicopters fired on two pickups (destroying them with the terrorists and the hostages),and one pickup was blown up by the terrorists.
As i said, the Algerians were separated, there were in a safe area, the terrorist didn't target them as they didn't come for them.
Over the 107 foreign workers captured,39 died during the assault... A success indeed.

They were in the plant..their lives were at stake as those of the expatriate...the fist victim was an Algerian, just to remind you...
The first algerian victim was a security agent, your workers weren't targeted, they were safe with no terrorists where they were....

The 39 were killed by the terrorist who exploded their belt , not by Algerian troops and certainly not by the algerian helicopter, like your media claim
Some were killed by the terrorists who blown up one pickup with foreign workers in it,but two other pickups were destroyed by your helicopters.

Bullshit...Our Special forces showed the world how effective they were, and the Brits and the US got miffed because they weren't invited to dine on terrorist asses...Algeria doesn't ask help or need help...She is not France..First of all, France needs to win a war first before you can talk about capabilities. Bla bla bla.... Algeria stronkkkk the world will sink without algeria 1.2.3 bla bla bla.
Dude, you are as important as Liberia stop kidding.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

The people of Burkina Faso won't be happy knowing some people think their country is derived from some African footballer's name similar to Usain Bolts:lol:
To think Burkina Faso people took pride in their country being one of the most popular french speaking country in the world, due to their rich history, you just dented their pride dude. @Vauban :omghaha::omghaha:

lol You dont have to say anything more,i know many Anglo-Saxons know little to nothing about the french speaking world. No wonder French people despise us. To make things worse, the world is basically an English focused/dominant world, so this makes things even worse for these French former colonies/countries.:(

.
RIP to the victims, so many innocent people died.

Not as much as you. You are trying to sell us the good image of France policies in Africa and the French troops great sacrifices that come with fighting the terror there. France brought and maintained terrorism in all the countries that asked or forced to ask her for a military presence. You are try to sell it in right forum, since most of the participants breath , orgasm and get high on violence blood and mayhem . But you are addressing the wrong PDF. This map , is a clear as a bell on what one my answer to you meant to. It is a picture, self explanatory, so want have any difficulties in understanding..
Burkina faso 1 18 16 terrorisme with french.jpeg

You see in blue the number of attacks that followed your requested presence in Bamako skyrocket and moving south where the French troops are concentrated. A France claimed over and over that the Bamako area is cleared of terror. What a pile of crap! For me and for aficionado of African politics, it seems clearly , whereever the french troops move, terrorist are two feet in front or two in the back...

The one that handled the crisis were the French special forces and the Burkina Faso police special units. The US support was ISR.
Bullshit! beside ISR, they were with your SF along with your troops guiding your soldiers...
Bullshit! In Amenas they have just invited themselves for an early breakfast, but didn't like the egg benedict and the short stakes...so they went after the cooks and the chefs

As i said, the Algerians were separated, there were in a safe area, the terrorist didn't target them as they didn't come for them.
Over the 107 foreign workers captured,39 died during the assault... A success indeed.
Again another bullshit statement. Terrorist didn't care who was there, they came after the hostages who's countries pay ransom, as France, Japan, Italy, and Germany...American and British they weren't looking for them but the one that run the control room to keep the plant runnnig , Algerian included..the rest were kept inside a fenced area with terrorist gards. so all of them were in the same bag.

Some were killed by the terrorists who blown up one pickup with foreign workers in it,but two other pickups were destroyed by your helicopters.
Algerian helicopters have never fired on the vehicle. All the vehicle were destroyed by inside explosions...Do you have any idea what a 20mm explosive shell or an Ingwee missile does to a vehicle? The helicopters fired in front the vehicles to keep them from fleeing to Libyan border.
This a video made by the American news channel PBS...listen to it..

Bla bla bla.... Algeria stronkkkk the world will sink without algeria 1.2.3 bla bla bla.
We are strong, and we are capable to do it with our own means. The world might not need us, But I know one thing for sure that France will need the world to save ...The world save her twice, and there is no twice without a third...

Dude, you are as important as Liberia stop kidding.
The fact,it is France who is rumaging in our backyard, not the other way around..And if you are talking irrelevancy...Guess who is keeping Obama's lap warm? and has the drizzle everytime Angela sneezes or Netanyahu or Selman get a boner..

. . .
No they're not there is nothing "ISLAMIC" in them they just use Islamic teachings to do their dirty work :) about which they obviously don't know anything @Taygibay
Well I beg to differ! they kill in the name of Islam. They are Muslim countries that are financing them and arming them, starting from your country to your host country of adoptive country whatever may apply...

1. Yes but as is said earlier they just use Islam. Islam never tells you to kill an innocent no matter what.:agree:
2. Sadly that is correct but my country has stopped that long ago:agree: (we did it during afghan soviet war and west gave us money for that) now we're fighting a war against them.
3. Yes maybe some Muslim countries are supporting them but we both know who created these terrorist organizations and who is funding them or you know funded them.
Now i don't like to reply to this thread regarding this discussion as it is against rules :) but still i will say that terrorists have no religion.

That hypocricy must stop. It was sweet when the western governments(including France)bombed Libya causing chaos, thousands of dead and civil war. Not a single westerner was killed. Cool eh? Now the west cries because their actions have increased terrorism across the region. Its pathetic
