Shukri: It is not acceptable to continue the imbalance in the nuclear field between the Arabs and Is

Arab countries cannot get Nuclear weapons because they are signatory of NPT.

So is Iran. Iran cannot get nuclear weapons either because Iran is signatory of NPT.

.
Why are you barking in this thread and what has "Najd" to do with anything? Have you read the title of this thread or the articles posted or what we are discussing?

No dreams here, Iranian.

Honestly I believe that there should be.

Yes, UAE ( @Khafee ) has almost finished building its first nuclear reactor (the first one in the Arab world) and countries like KSA, Egypt and others have invested and will invest a lot of money in nuclear energy which is very much a positive thing along with renewable energy.

I believe that we as Arabs have a right to arm ourselves with nuclear weapons as long as Israel has nuclear weapons. I could live with sanctions if needed be. They won't ever be fully effective anyway. Of course this requires brave leaderships and a coordinated and joint project which I am not sure there is a political will for.
you have oil, money, and a lot of friends sanctions would do very little against you

.
Bro, poverty has little to do with such projects. Look at North Korea. It's about political will and motivation, in this case India in Pakistan's case.

Pakistan might have been economically poor but rich on other fronts (large population, solid military sector due to the historical legacy of Pakistan etc.)

I don't know that periods political history in detail (before my time on this earth) but there must have been reasons for such actions. If I am not wrong, Iran and all other regional countries, have signed the NPT as well.

I find it outright treachery and betrayal for a single Arab country to sign, when Israel hasn't. I cannot comprehend what made them do it. Now they live under Israel's nuclear blackmail.

.
Turkey is helping us now with defense projects.
The Saudis and the gulf states have given Pakistan massive financial aid in many ways over the years.
Jordan is alleged to have given us their f-104's during the '65 war.
The Indians allege that Libya loaned Pakistan its mirage 3 aircraft during the '71 war.
In the '65 war, Asghar Khan flew to Iran to ask for help. The shah wrote a note in front of him to his military, that Pakistan should be given weapons until 'Iranian stocks are zero'.
Indonesia gave us, I believe, patrol boats for the '65 war. Asghar Khan was shaken when the Indonesian President looked at a map and said ' perhaps we should attack a few Indian Islands?' In his book, Asghar Khan was overwhelmed by both Indonesian and Iranian generosity. This was at a time when Indonesia was facing a large British fleet off its shores.

I think you are factually incorrect. Pakistani nukes are a national asset, as they were paid for by the Pakistani taxpayer.
As for passing around several hundred nukes here and there, I think you are totally detached from reality.

It has always amazed me how a poor, starving country like Pakistan could withstand US opposition, while the rich and powerful Arab countries caved in and signed the NPT.
having nukes placed only in Pakistan will lead to destruction
of all nukes if india or u.s attack our nuclear sites or if nuclear war happens but if they are stored in other country they can be used for second strike or can be used by other Muslim countries if Pakistan is damaged by war

.
very bold stance.Pakistan nukes are for whole Muslims.we should increase our nukes to several thousand so that they become enough to defend whole Muslims and supply several hundred to turkey

NO pakistan nukes are self defence of pakistan only we are no longer the attack dog for the "ummah"
where were your muslim brothers when trump was talking shi t about pakistan ? the arabs certainly didn't mind dancing with him and inking billions in weapons deals but couldn't even raise a voice when it came to supporting us.
Maybe these nukes also to defend the afghanistan who fantasizes about balkanizing us and spits the most hateful venom against pakistan ? or when will we nuke saudi arabia and UAE to stop their war crimes against yemeni muslims ? stop dreaming !

Well, Usrael never tested one (some might say they tested in South Africa and that will be a lie), I have always believed that Usrael does not have nukes but fantasising about them.. I knew it the day I saw a clear picture of US F-4s armed with US nuclear bombs stationed in an Israeli air base during the 1973 Ramadan war, while Usrael was threatening a nuclear strike.. it was just acting as a mouth peace of the US itself.. furthermore came those rumours about Usrael stealing tons of Highly enriched Uranium from the US :woot::lol:.. They might be able to stockpile plutonium from their Dimona heavy water reactor.. but that is about it.. they can make a dirty bomb at best if they do not have a tested warhead design and for that at least 2 Arab nations with experimental nuclear reactors of up to 40 MW can do the same..
In Extreme circumstances, the US will hand them its own nukes.. with the risk of seeing Either Pakistan and/or NK handing some to the Arabs..

Sir, with respect, when you place your nuclear weapons in another country, there is no guarantee what this other country will do with them. No country commits suicide for another country, Ummah or no Ummah.

I've a question about the Emirati nuclear program:

Does the deal include the extraction of plutonium from spent nuclear fuel and/or to enrich uranium?

No, never. That would basically give them the ability to build a bomb. NPT and FANR regulations would never allow anything remotely close to that, neither would the AAEA. All spent fuel is to be stored & monitored for 20 years then returned to supplier.

Wastes
The UAE is committed to a “dual track” radioactive waste management strategy that involves developing a national storage and disposal programme in parallel with exploring regional cooperation options, which now appear more attractive – notably with the GCC. A further option is fuel take-back, returning it to suppliers. Used fuel will be stored in reactor ponds for up to 20 years, or may be transferred to dry storage after six years. Reprocessing in France or elsewhere internationally is an option, depending on economics. Ownership and responsibility for the used fuel will be transferred to a new state-owned entity after about 20 years.

Sweden’s SKB is studying the prospects of a geological waste repository in UAE, and the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (AAEA), with a widened group of participating Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries, is discussing regional options along the lines of EU precedents.

Organisation, regulation
In August 2009 the UAE advised the IAEA that it was ready to join the IAEA Convention on Nuclear Safety, and the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management.

In October 2009 the Federal Law Regarding the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy was signed into effect, providing for development of a system for licensing and control of nuclear material, as well as establishing the independent Federal Authority of Nuclear Regulation (FANR) to oversee the whole UAE's nuclear energy sector, and appointing the regulator's board, headed by a senior US regulator. The law also makes it illegal to develop, construct or operate uranium enrichment or spent fuel processing facilities within the country's borders.

Non-proliferation
The UAE is a signatory of the NPT and it ratified a safeguards agreement with IAEA in 2003. In 2009 it signed the Additional Protocol.

No ! But it does not matter.

It is necessary to be more subtle in life. A “screwdriver's turn (Nuclear Threshol’)” it’s good enough… ^ ^

Our (KSA) Nuclear program will be similar ‘in much much much bigger’. ^ ^

^^

You really think we (KSA) will have less than Jordan or Turkey ?

Well don't go all emotional, PM visited Saudi after trump's statement where crown prince praised Pakistan's effort against terrorism, you can find that online.

GCC is influential and we need their diplomatic support. its failure of our officials that they couldn't even convince China and OIC in all these years that TTP is sponsored by bharatis via Afghan handlers.

for topic, well i completely support Nuclearization of Arab state, it could be Qatar, Bahrain, Saudis, i dont care, but All arabs should mutually develop this project and support the victim in case of sanctions, it can easily be done, just show little will.
