its not stupidity....its chitarool for indian.....foreign tourists who have seen the parade say Pakistani Rangers are more fierce,smart and armed than clumsy indians who break a knee everyday and are now replacing their men with women

at wagha we show the world if there is a regional power in the area other than China than it is Pakistan...we show the world even if india buys planes worth $100 billion and with 350 million poor indians surviving on less than $1 per day we will still slam the border door on their faces at the end of the day

We simply must, the Indians and us, show the world that we are a civilised people who respect the mass of the people on either side of the border; that we are not hell-bent on using our respective bums on each other’s unsuspecting and innocent populations. Come on, gentlemen, get real, get with it. For there are no winners in any zero-sum game.

The 1st step tonormailsation is acceptance.

Both nations have to accept each other on an ' as is where is ' basis.

Personally I feel the people couldnt care less about each other beyond a point and it is more of curiosity that guides them.

However, there is a constituency of Politicians on the Indian side & PA on the Pak side whose bread n' butter gets impacted by normalisation.

How about using three older gentlemen who were combat veterans to walk slowly, normally, reverently, to perform the retreat ceremony and handle the flag?

All of the younger and naive soldiers can posture all they want... they'd still pale before the combat vets.
