In you opinion, should the Pak-Afghan Border be closed for the Election Period to Prevent Terror Attacks?

I think it should as the past has shown there is a strong correlation between this border being open and the frequency of attacks.

There are definitely forces from across the border playing the terror card to cause panic and impact the election outcomes.

Come on Pak interim government and army get off your arses and do it!

Good point... However... There has been evidence that shows whenever the border is closed the attacks drop. Why is that?

I agree. This should have been done earlier. At least as a precautionary measure.

Cancel all party meetings, jalsas in KP and Balochistan. Hunt down terrorists, they will try to blow up anyway even if not trying to kill politicians. Increase check posts.

Not sure if closing down border will do anything, not all of border can be secured anyway. And these people are already in Pakistan, preparing for election month since last year.

Yeah kill tradebut dont fence the boarder or ask Afghan and other refugees to leave...
Also do nothing in law and order reforms and do nothing against proxies in baluchistan

The border was open from 1947-2001 and yet there were no blasts inside Pakistan. When your own state supports militants and allows them to contest election no amount of border closing will do anything.
