Should Pakistan Switch to Nuclear Energy?

We already have Nuclear weapons, and we certainly have the technology, so do you think that it would be beneficial for Pakistan to switch to Nuclear Energy?

It's not even a question whether Pakistan ought to switch to nuclear energy, but rather how quickly and efficiently they are able to do so. Alternative forms of energy creation are simply not as profitable as nuclear energy. A nuclear power plant can easily generate 1,000 megawatts--and because renewable energy is intermittent and, as a result, 10,000 megawatts of wind and solar might be needed to equal 1,000 megawatts of nuclear power. That's just an example of how efficient and advantageous nuclear energy is as opposed to other forms of energy sources. Nuclear energy will most certainly take up the biggest slice of the cake. However, considering Pakistan's current electricity deficit we can safely assume that it will require patience. The production of nuclear plants in required numbers will take time and resources. Pakistan is therefore already negotiating for the import of gas through neighbouring countries such as Iran. That is the most logical temporary, effective and immediate measure to curb the shortages. However, it's obvious that nuclear energy alone won't do it either. Pakistan will have to balance it out. It will have to be a combination of energy sources. From solar and wind farms to hydroelectric etc. Pakistan has humongous potential for alternative forms of electricity generation. Huge parts of the Northern Areas are blessed with a perfect climate that can be utilized for electricity generation through alternative means. Baluchistan is another province that has the acquired climate and huge chunks of unused land that can be used for this particular purpose. The possibilities are simply limitless in Pakistan. It's only a matter of political will, proper planning and execution without any corruption. That's what it all comes down to in the case of Pakistan. It's a pity that Pakistan has been dragged into an illegitimate war when it should have been focusing all of its resources and attention on the prosperity and development of Pakistan. Unless the security situation doesn't improve rapidly we shouldn't expect too much.

pakistan must expand her nuclear programe, i'd rather suggest multi-purpose plants which could be used for power generation as well as weapons programe, besides that i'd suggest multiple sources of nuclear and allied energy, like urenium, plotonium, thorium etc as india has done...
