situation in Maldives is cooking up where opposition leader Abdullah Nasheed has called on India to intervene Militarily and put down the Pro Chinese Maldivian President Yameen after he (Yameen) did not release detained opposition members on supreme court verdict. At the same time the US and UK are also more interested to get away with Yameen they consider a threat to their interests in the region and are pressing indians to put boots on the ground. If this happens there is little MNDF can do against indian forces given it's size and capability. At the same time Yameen has sent his Ministers to both China and Pak (Apparently apprising about situation however in actual to seek help in case of indian military misadventure). Given the circumstances should Pakistan make a preemptive move with consultation from China in a manner that PLAN establishes a joint Naval base with PN as well as Pakistan's Military will establish a ground base. The intervention will also be covered under legal frame work of International laws since the recognized government of Maldives will itself support this move. Further it will secure Chinese and Pakistani maritime lanes and logistics and as well as detering india from it's old record of making misadventures in neighbouring country. India will never risk any confrontation with PLAN or PN unlike MNDF as it will know the brutal retaliation which it cannot afford.

Hell no. Unless we deploy nuclear weapons there, which is a whole new game and one we should not play, so err, oh hell no.

We cannot send troops to Turkey, it will alienate Syrians as well as Russians, also the Turkish Armed Forces dont need our support in an operation of this scale which 1/4th of Turkish forces are more then enough to handle. Also maintaining logistics will be very difficult. Securing Maldives means securing Maritime lanes as well as easy logistics which PN can handle, also by placing Boots in Maldives we can create a "Cuban Missile Crisis" like situation for India. Also Chinese are not Militarily present in Maldives to protect against Indians

Moral support for Tukey is wonderful thing we also need to take over afghanistan

This is what many people miss. Maldives has fallen and been under Chinese influence for 5 years now. Maldives opposition has been requesting help from India for many years now but India had time and again shied away from taking any action due to the Chinese presence. India would make noises but that's about it.

Sorry I thought they sank under water due to rising sea level long time ago, wasn't aware they were still present on world map

But I will book a vacation there sometime in future to go eat Chinese Noodles on beaches

No thanks. We are not the world policeman, nor the chaprasi of the non existent Ummah. Maldives is traditionally very close to India, let China and India play out their game there.

Bhai Ummah kahan se agai yahan, if it all we intervene it will be to secure own interests and deter india, this involvement has nothing to do with Ummah, dont't compare it with Yemen issue
