It will be foolish not to take this god given opportunity to have presence in Maldives.
Its bang in the middle of India in north and American strategic base of Diago Garcia in south. Who would not want to have listening post in Maldives to keep an eye on both these nations and Indian ocean in general? Tbh I think its America which is getting edgy of China getting its footprints in Maldives as it too close for comfort for its base in Diago Garcia, and India is being used to make the hue and cry about it. Pakistan should not give two cents about any sentimental BS like democracy or human rights, and take this opportunity.
