Just a thought: Should PAK Army join the fight aginst ISI - offer PAF Squardrons? offer troops on the ground?
What do members think?

We should focus upon internal security more rather than involving in ISIS matter

Now hold on, sending a few planes to carry out some air-strikes isn't going to hurt the Pakistani Armed Forces. Remember Jordan is in the direct path of ISIS/ISIL/IS, if Jordan gets hit by them.....

It will allow Pakistan to get some added $ from the Gulf Arabs.

Thanks but no Thanks. Pakistan should distance itself from any of the ongoing crisis in ME or any other part of the world. Americans should opt for Arabian dollars as their economy is slowing down. Pakistan has taken enough lessons by engaging itself in War against Soviets and they are still paying for it. Hundred of thousand of people died, economy died. Pakistan should look after itself and its own people.

Contact with the Arab States is beneficial. The top Ministers and Generals dont get the stuff done its the junior ones that do. No General feels like calling their counter-part it's his staff that does.

Today's Major/ Captain is tomorrow's Brigadier. Create Friendships now and they'll blossom tomorrow.

Besides its free training that will be paid for by the Arabs.

Pakistan should stay away from the ISIS crisis, we have our own problems with the local militants.

If we could chip-in our contribution at any level (not necessarily combat troops), we should.

At the moment Pakistan should fully focus on defeating the TTP, AlQada and Uzkek terrorists.

We can contribute in support roles but not directly. As much as i would want PAF to help Iraqis blow the crap out of these monsters, we are not in a position right now to do that. We deployed Pilots to Iraq when we were able to, however its much harder for us to stretch our scarce resources to give a helping hand to Iraq. Pakistan can and should dispatch military planners and support staff to Iraq and GCC states if they feel the need to have their expertise in COIN ops. We can also expedite the arms orders Iraq has placed and to provide fast tracked training to their trainees in our institutions.
