I vote No cuz i didn't read the Question & just read the thread title.

misbah needs to step down as skipper?

Yes

Should Misbah remain as captain?

No

Resons, poor captaincy, wrong field placements, poor batting etc etc. He should play tests only not ODI's or T20's. Afridi is best for Captaincy IMO.

when was the last time wahab played,im not going emotional dude you are really failing to understand mypoint

my point is the selection is not upto the mark, im not even talking about misbah's strategy and his performance here

Listen these are kind of those decisions which if fires then win you lot of praises...Had wahab repeated his world cup performance(or anything closer to it) most of us would have been saying...wow!! what a decision...I would say let's challenge the logic behind this decision...

a) Was it a flat wicket - Yes
b) Do you really need to strengthen your batting further on a flat wicket - No
c) Is batting the strength of your opposition - Yes
d) Based on the above does it make sense to further strengthen your bowling by adding a specialist - YES

Now i certainly don't see anything wrong in Pakistan picking a specialist bowler...In fact if you look at it the decision was perfect...Pakistan did manage to score 329 and now with an extra specialist bowler they had even better chance to defend....

Now wahab is the part of the squad...So when you needed a specialist bowler i am not sure whom should he have taken?? So once again what is the problem???

Look India batted really well...Pakistan did not bowl that bad....Ajmal was a really pain in the rear....Umar to some extent was a danger...But apart from that no bowler was able to trouble much and credit goes to Indian batsmen...Overall a good game of cricket!!!

Pakistan cricketers were always a talented lot but they lacked stability. Misbah brings that to the team - Now Pakistan team has a settled look and have some excellent wins in the past 1 year - one defeat should not start these kind of discussions.

Field placings were poor, pressure was not applied on the Indian batsmen (who at one time had a required rate of 8 runs per over), poor bowlers' combinations. Very very poor game from Misbah as a captain. It is criminal not to be able to defend 330, the way Pakistan bowled & fielded was unacceptable. The bowlers were hit for fours in the same positions, but it resulted in no field changes. There were lots of edges from Indian batsmen at the start, but there were no slips placed, resulting in many boundaries. Hafeez took a wicket in the first over, and was immediately removed from the attack. Misbah persisted with the bowlers bowling poorly. Misbah & the bowlers gifted the match to India.

True and also we did not see the passion for win. very poor strategy and he was just watching like spectators and what was the point of giving bowling to aziz cheema in crucial time when you had three spinners available who performed better than fast bowlers

Look apart from Ajmal no other spinners were able to trouble us...Even ajmal went for more than 5 an over....it is common sense that hitting a spinner is more easier then a fast bowler...With both Rahul and Kohli well set and not troubled by your spinners, going for pace was not such a bad ploy...Though i must say not carrying on spinner after the first over wicket was surely a big mistake...

What surprised me most were the non-threatening fielding positions Misbah set for Saeed Ajmal---for example no slips for a spinner.
The inability to defend an ODI score of 329 raises serious questions about Misbah's captaincy.

Misbah was rubbish simply not giving ajmal slips kholi bambozilled by ajmal even a edge was not taken if had been slip we could have won the game still 130 runs at that time india needed and whab, cheema, for me dont have any place in the team dont judge wahab what he did last time with indian but we did not won the match dont judge bowlers on one perfomace wahab look like he forced playing we meesed up misbah should straight away go home after this we win or loose asia cup he should go out and bring special keeper in no matter what the situation is we are not south africa and bring our faster bowlers back dont bring 30 years old rubbish again
