Should KAMRA be extended to 4 Provinces of Pakistan?

KAMRA.png

Should KAMRA facility requires a Timely expansion

Considering we do alot of tasks
  • Manufacturing of Small trainers
  • Thunder
  • Repair and refreshing of Planes (K-8, Mirage , F7 , F16 , Thunders block 1 )'

Plus we can also develop Helicopter Factory , in future in one of the 5 branches ?

1 Center in each Province

> Punjab
> Sindh
> Baluchistan
> KPK

It would make sense to Have different branches so Local Needs and Exports can be planned
I feel it is time we expanded KAMRA to meet growing demand

JF17 conversion to Block 3 will require lot of effort of course

And who will ensure adequate orders for all 4-5 Kamara like set-up in all provinces to keep those purposed facility commercially viable ....???

. .
Well realistically , having multiple branches will ensure , workforce is equally trained and when there is a need repairs can be done in multiple factories

It is about efficiency

They will be commercially viable of course , who collects the rent ? Government of Pakistan I am sure they can waive the bill for rent for location and facilities like Electricity or water

. .
Without a doubt most armed forces equipment made in punjab which armeed forces are not doing justice with other local workers to grow their skills putting all your eggs in one pocket is a dangerous

.
Shift steel mill to Punjab.
Not possible, nation need to be honest . SM is located on ideal location. Pakistan import quality ore during Musharraf era.

. .
It has nothing to do with with Province owener ship I feel all provinces should be broken to 5 parts

This is 100% for efficiency different factories work can be done more efficiently

It is smart planning to have 4-5 KAMRA factories spread across country handling similar or slightly different roles

We really have to learn from Industralial nature of business a bit

I think its time to privatize it. Let brings the open market concept in defense industry like other countries especially France and USA

.
No need for privitization , the existing setup is great

Just need 4-5 Branches Nationally more Engineer and researcher hiring

Private Sector should focus on items like Jeep and Military vehicles

Making 4 bedrooms in a house makes sense, making four kitchens not so much specially when you are cooking for four only...

Actually having the factories in one place are for higher efficiency and lower costs. There is no good economic argument to be made for transferring existing facilities out of Kamra.
The idea does have some merit however if considering spreading out the facilities due to them presenting a tempting target for IAF in the next war. However, I doubt that would make a huge difference either as they can target 3 facilities just as easily as the one. In fact, it might be easier to safeguard the one with a better concentration of SAMS and other resources vs if they are all spreadout?
If PA finally does contract for the TA-129 though, it would be nice to have the assembly, production, overhaul facilities somewhere else ... maybe expanding the facilities at Dhamial AB in Pindi

.
No it should be privatized because private sector can do wonder for aviation industry in Pakistan..you will see airbus, Boeing, Ilyushin or Antonov being assembled in Pakistan if aviation industry is privatized.

.
Well we are cooking indeed , and here is a full list of our stuff hypothetical

hmmm

  • 150 Crafts JF17 Block 3 (New Construction next 10 years)
  • 150 Craft repair (Original Block 1)(Upgrade/repairs)
  • 100 Mirage+ (rebuild)
  • 100 F7+ (repairs)
  • 80 F16 (repairs)
  • JF17 export orders (sales)
  • K-8 Orders
  • Super M Orders/ Repairs(New Construction/Repairs)
  • JF17B .....orders (2 Seaters) (New Construction)
  • New T129 Orders coming up(New Construction)
  • AZM(New Construction)
  • Dedicated Navy JF17 Repairs
  • Cobra / Bell / Augusta repairs

Seems like the original 1 Factory is not sufficient and we need 5

5 Factories can service all the above better then Just 1 Factory

Seems logical to some extent and same goes for HIT projects

  • If our goal is 4-5 projects and steady Job , for 40 years then well that is different story we can make 2-3 Alkhalid tanks in 20 years
